@falconfootbal94 I know what you mean. One game we won by 36 points, and the new runningback got all the credit. The only people caring about us were him, parents, and coaches. Then the other day I did a high snap, which could have been caught, but the QB missed it, resulting in him yelling at me.
@falconfootbal94 thats wut keeps us going, we always got a chip on our shoulder. the showboat asshole who the coaches and management hate our the rb, qb and wr's so dont worry
im 15 years old and im 6'5 294 lbs i just started playing football about a week ago i play o line 99% of the time the defence and linebackers dont go for me head on (last guy got rocked) instead they try to get around me any tips?
@da2hers On defensive line your taught to rush "half a man" so obviously they wont go man to man with you. You have to move your feet and grab there jerseys in the MIDDLE of there chest..no ref will call that. they only call it if its obvios the he's trying to pull away and your keeping him back.
@Dakashizzlenizzle yea ive been building my speed over a month getting a little quicker with feet now and im starting to keep up with those speedy ends LB
@da2hers im 15 years old and im 6'5 256lbs. I just started football last year, i play o-line 85% of the time and d-line the other 15%. Here's what i recommend, if they do a swim technique, which is when the will take one hand on your shoulder and through their other shoulder past you in a swim motion. If they are doing that, then take them where they are heading. Grab the part of the underarm right near the armpit and through it forward, due to weight disproportion the will fly.
@da2hers if they are doing a rip where the take your arm and try to run behind you on a pass play, simply take the hand closest to them and do a firm grip on the space between the hip bone and thigh, and press down to the ground. This is legal and it will force the to slow down if the wish to stay on their feet. Once the do that put your back towards the running back and in front of the defender. And remember drop your hips, not your head.
@da2hers These guys are telling you to grab their jerseys, this is not right. Grab their shoulder pads right in the middle of their chest, it acts as a natural handle and its easy to grab onto. Once you grab their shoulder pads, drive it into their throats, it hurts like hell, 100% legal, and will teach the defence not to mess with you. If you grab their jersey, you cannot control them as easy, and its very easy to get a holding call. And remember to always get low and drive with your hips.
@falconfootbal94 I hated it too. I played RB for my football team and had a great year my sophomore year. I rushed for over 1600 yards that year and at the end of the season they tried to give me the award for offensive player of the year. But boy was the O line surprised when I asked the coaches to give it to them. So they went out and had plaques made for the entire line.
@falconfootbal94 dude right?!?! if it wasnt for us, our qb would be on his ass every play!!! and the other day at a scrimmage, we got sacked and the qb fumbled and after the game our coach made us run sprints!! wtf!
@sdmfsdmfn I hated it too. I played RB for my football team and had a great year my sophomore year. All of you it good that you can lift alot but you aren't strong compared to weight I'm 15 I bench: 175, squat: 315, powerclean(the most important lift) : 165 and dead lift my school doesn't max out that and my school we hit hard and my 40: 4.92 fastest and for all of you to get stronger always push yourself and never lag it and you will become good
i like the idea of giving resistance to practice power, however i think that it's causing them to lean forward too much. maybe using a chest harness could remedy that...
im a fairly new to the O-line. i've got the right build to be potentially good for my high school team. anyone got any tips for me? like techniques, stance, blocking, anything would be appreciated
@flyingmonkeylemur when watching tv get in ur 3 pt nd stay up on ur hand till commercial break is over after that its just strength and ur technique which im sure ur coach will go over with u
@falconfootbal94 because of the media and we dont really have any significant stats real football people know that the oline is the most important posistion in football
@fr1edweezy i think people post all that meaningless garbage is for 2 reasons, 1:they think that there going to post it and some college coach/scout is going to read it and give them a scholorship. or 2:they need people to tell them there good at something to feel good about themselves.
as an o lineman, i weigh 215, bench 270, squat 385, clean 290, deadlift 465, run a 40 in 4.89, do my i-drill in 4.78, and start as a sophomore, but my weakness is i fall down, also, any tips on staying on a block.
Move your hands really fast so he can't shrug you off, so you're always 'on' the block. Move your feet just as much 'cos you gotta keep up with him and get round him to get the angle and run him off the field.
go in lower than him, aim at his thighs, this will make you either hit right under the chestplates on the shoulderpads, or on the shoulderpads. (aim low by staying low, not putting your hands down) learn to get the your grip at the breastplates as low as possible while you stay low and then push him up and backwards. in a run block this will eventually pancake him, in passblock he can't put on any new forward momentum while on his toes
keep your feet shoulder width apart, with one foot behind you. when u make contace, drop your shoulder just before... you have a higher chance of winning the battle...
im 16 years old 6 5 300,bench 270 squat 315 deadlift 435 clean 185 nothing amazing im a junior by da way any tips to get my bench up got a 5.6 in da shuttle run too 40 is dat good 6 flat
a 5.6 shuttle is so-so. mine is 4.99 and im slow as hell but my 40 is also 5.6. at my highschool one person got a 4.5-4.4 shuttle. most people got 4.7
im n 8th grade and the max ive squatted it 350 but i donly did one rep and it was padded but no lie, im still wondering if i should play o line cuz im 5'6 and 180 lbs but i out muscle all of my friends
all this bullshit weight for ''freshman'' im gonna be a sophmore and bench 160 x2 and squat 170 x 5 no roids and its the truth just tell the truth dammit
im a frshmen i can squat 320 lbs and i never tried my max in benching but i can do 135lbs 23 times tryng to get 25..and im 6 foot tall weight 290 15 years old no steroids or nothing
Im 6'3 280 and i bench 255 and squat 525 and im a freshman i think thats pretty good lol but i bet theres a crap load of people out there that can lift more than me :P
None my actual height is 6'2 without shoes and i got weighed a week ago and was 295 lbs and i run the 40 in 5.4 seconds its not laser timed tho so its probably 5.6-5.7
that pretty good man when i was a freshman i was like 5-10 i ran like a 5.8 i bench like 215 an i squat 325 so i guess u pretty strong 4 ur age if it true
ive been a lineman playing for pop warner for 6 years straight that whole time i was a lineman but now that im gonna be a freshman i thought i should lift more do u have any tips on how to bulk up before the season starts
squat every other day (bench on days in between) at 80% percent of your max, do at least 36 reps of either. i did that and gained 15+ pounds in five months protein bars and shakes do help but arent a must
work on technique as well as weights.. work on agility in the box and practice exploding on a blocking sled. once you get comfortable with that initial explosion, start driving, adding more weight as you go along until you can't push any more. hammering and flipping a tire is a pretty good exercise to build upper body and core strength
im 16 and i lack in benching i bench 150 but make up for it in squating i squat 315 can and im 310lbs can anyone give me tips to get off the ball faster
im curious i turned 14 5 days ago and started lifting for football at the highschool im 6'3 253 run the 40 at a 5'1 i started lifting 2 months ago right now my max bench is 215 and squat is 305 i have long limbs and a bit of a knee problem can i have some advice on anything to make my form better or supplements that might help or if i dont need supplements a good diet. any thing would be great
your retarded these drills may look dumb but i bet if you did them fro now til your season twice a week your speed and footwork would dramatically increase

TUTIFRUTI360 3 years ago
i think youre legs always had the potential to squat about 300lbs last month.
but youre muscles were "dormant" since you really didnt use them.
i weigh 190 and squat 365.......
but last 2 months ago my max was 225.
