  • evidently the L.E.D lights under my 96 Ford Bronco's dash are all messed up, from the way you all are talking, mine are just ran from the battery with an in line fuse and a switch witch is in the glove box, (the ground for the lights are this little metal bar under the dash)

  • im doing the same as you with red leds and some computer optical mouses for the inside of my car, i have only one problem, after i place the leds all over the car interior to what should i connect them? just to the car battery or to another source of power like a small 12v battery?

need advice opinios and new ideas, please some one reply

  • @Faria3470: you can use the car battery itself, as L.E.D's consumes very little power, you can run them off your car battery without any problem.

to run the L.E.D. lights using car better, you need to use 3 L.E.D. and then one resistor

this way you'll need lots of resistors.

search google for "LED series/parallel array wizard" and you'll get a calculator for the resistor value needed

increase the resistor value a little to be on safe side.

  • are these wired to your door lights or your cig lighter? I would like to know if i can wire my LEDs to both so they turn on when the door is opened and when the car is on

  • hi can u tell me how u wire these cuz i just blew out my fuse the other day lol. but i bought the led package from ledglow.com

  • i wanna make one to put under my car

  • could you tell me how you set this up? i would love to get this done in my car. just got an '05 accord

  • @flyingdonkey121 hi, if you don't know how to solder L.E.D.'s best and safest option would be to buy a Ready-made L.E.D. strip from ebay, if you know how to use soldering iron and work with car wiring then you can make a L.E.D. strip by soldering 3 L.E.D. and 1 resistor to any number you wish.

  • @ghpk

can u turn this off and on?

  • @shaochiavang Ofcourse, I have used the empty slot for on/off switch.

in higher model this space was used by defogger button so i installed that switch for my L.E.D.

I also have 2-3 more switches will make a video and post in a few days for sure,.

  • @ghpk

where do you keep your swtich ? and how long and how much did this cost you? cus im thinking about doing this to my car too

  • i just bought 2 24 led strips for use like this, but donno if the light wd b enough. what do u say ?

  • @yourtube20061 they should be enough, if the strip is of brighter L.E.D.'s its gooing to look cool.

Only reason i've done all by myself was to please myself with the D.I.Y. Zeal.

  • @ghpk hehe,DIY must certainly feel better i guess !!

  • not bad, i have neon under my dash and imma switch to led, theres this place in hon kong that sells led light strips really cheap

  • fucking awesome

  • nice color :).....

  • Where canbi get individual leds from? Also where is your power suply from?

  • you can get some 72 inch long ones on ebay for 4 bucks, you need 12 volts from some source, like the steering harness, or run a new cable from the battery, make sure to fuse it

  • Hey where did u buy the individual leds from? N where is your power coming from? Thanks

  • if i am using 12v car battry then how to make 30 LED series curcuit? just put 150Ohm resistance after 3 LED? ALL IN SERIES? just + to 1st led and -ive to last? AM I RIGHT?

  • we should make one of those transactions where u make them ship them to me and i pay for them :) lol

  • how did you connect this parallel or series???

  • a resistor of 150ohm after 3 L.E.D. in Series.

used 100ohm resistors but they blew a few L.E.D. when used for long hours.

use 150ohm or 220 ohm resistors to be on safer side.

  • looks pretty cool, good job.

  • is that street legal???

  • yeah, as long as the LED's are not in your direct line of sight you can't get done for excessive glare distraction.

Be careful if your still a kid though, officers use it as a reason to pull you over, and then discover other things after you invite them into your car so they can examne the lights.

  • you should have shown the LED fixtures and then showcased your car setup. your video

    doesnt help much.

  • check my other videos, they show you how they are made, very cost effectve and works like a charm, Running them every evening since last 5-6 months, didn't even had to re-do any repairs.

  • do u have videos on how to install em effectively? Just bought a Mitsubishi 3000gt and wanted to do this mysel.f. thanks for input.

  • if you are not an expert in making them, i think you should buy the Stickable LED Strips.

they;ll be easy to install as you just have to peel off the paper from L.E.D.Strip and fix it anywhere in the car you wish.

Iam sure you'll find them on ebay or other sites for 3 to 5 USD each strip.

do check out where you would be connecting the wires, as i think many companies would consider the warrnaty to be void if the Wires are cut in the car, check with your car company for such limitations.
