  • How do we form attraction to celebrities on TV when we can't smell them then?

  • @scarredorange Due to other factors; for men, particularly the hip to waist ratio (indicating child birth capability) and the face (indicating genetic health). For women, it is the face (for same reason as above) and confidence (indicating ability to protect, provide and care). This is why men are perceived as more "shallow" than women because we base more on looks than they do. However, it's also important to a man that a woman is "loving/ nurturing", as this indicates motherhood capacity.

  • i dont smell bad but im really ugly. really the only thing that makes me ugly is that i had really bad acne and now my face is covered in scars. is there anything i could do or take to make myself not attracted to females?

  • What about their diets... this would effect smells, did they have garlic, cabbage, onions, etc in the last two days? this would effect their odom that has nothing to do will immunity.

  • he looks like a dude that would sneak in a womens house and take all their pantys

  • does this mean different races are attracted more to each other

  • @PeaceLemony yes

  • i live in newcastle ;D

  • Thumbs Up if you wondered how he smelt anything past that wombat on his face that he calls a mustache!!

  • you may collect new states, new emotions, new excitations and create new "karma - wound in emotional body". new way to feed senses. collect sexual adventures, collect nice for an eye things around, and attract to it emotionally. then reborn in samsara.

  • you're sttracted to everything what will feed your senses. food has got no more function of giving energy, becomes pleasure. sex is not for reproduction, is for feeding senses. you're sttracted to those feelings also. that's why they say that new "feelings" may disturb on a meditation path, you may stuck to new states, to new feeling. attract to everything.

  • would it be the same if it was a homosexual relationship?

  • So just a couple of questions, why then when I find someone attractive - because they have opposite genes do they not find me attractive because I have opposite genes!? And why does incest happen!? Mario is wrong.

  • he is simply choosing the ones that have less of a sweat smell, this shows how well the human nose works, but has nothing to do with sexual attraction

  • @treesapa But the scores show that bad smell wasn't the only ranking criterion. The gene similarity scores matched the order of the smell ranking well, and that was the point.

  • I'm going to sniff t shirts worn by these women. Lmfao

  • "im gonna sniff t-shirts worn by these women" hahaahah

  • Also, a male cousin of mine, pondering on his lover, advised me never to wash too much. She was, actually, of even a different cultural background and he was expressing how much he adored her smell. Fancy?

  • Ok, so now we have chemistry. I've been advised to avoid it and I must admit to being petrified when I come across it, possibly thus. Why would I want to live with someone for example, who's 'hot' for me but due to our hugely differing genes, we are unable to get on? (No wonder I'm still flying solo, lol!)

  • im really good looking but...lets just say after im done working out in the gym I could be used as a bio weapon so im basically screwed

  • @serioushamster Lol. Possibly not!

  • This would mean if one person was attracted to another, then that second person should be attracted to the first person, because, after all, they have complementary immune systems. But experience shows that people can be attracted to others without having those feelings reciprocated.

  • @and1player1521 Ah, well now you may be getting into other areas, for example we are affected by life experiences? Interesting point though. I'd have liked this to have expanded and I feel frutrated that the two were not then put in front of each other, to see whether there was 'also' physical attraction.

  • His nose is so big and so pimply!

  • @exc390 Lol, I was compelled to look up your age :-), bless you :-))).

  • @BritishSnail :D I am at an age where I notice everything ...

  • @BritishSnail Finally, a Christian, God bless you too.

  • @exc390 Oh, I read your age as 12, it's your channel views lol, I do apologise! I'm so blind these days :-). Have a gorgeous ((( Christian hug :-) ))) and thank you for your kindness. I think 'most' (certainly not all) of life is interesting.

  • that shyt is reeeepy

  • i believe in instinct but realy im not creepy im a scientist now would u care if u slept in this shirt for 2 days put it in a bag and let me smell them how awquird would u feel if a random guy with a stach said that to u

  • @awsometastic14 Hahaha yeah I get what you're saying, it makes him look kinda like a pervert, but it's for scientific research and you can see it clearly works. But who knows maybe he did it for his own pleasure too.

  • @awsometastic14 Not very awkward at all.

  • anyone know what the song is at 1:01?

  • He is Robert WInston, medical doctor and BBC documentary presenter. Cool guy. You can read about him on Wikipedia.

  • Can someone please tell me who is this guy??? I been looking for his documentary forever...he has a bunch of good ones.

  • @chahater87

The guy's name is Lord Robert Winston and he is awesome... yeah.

  • I am a robot.

  • Why not just cut to the chase and sniff their knickers in a minging toilet cubicle, Robert?

  • I like big tits,and a nice curvy body,

nothing to do with smell, this is a load of bollocks

  • you like big tits, curvy body, and probably dont like to think much either.

  • bu1letpr00f, you're very in your head, 1970's feminist style. Dublinandy speaks for real men, though yes, scent is still a factor, but after getting close. Heck, Silicon Valley has one of the highest rates of autism due to people pro-creating that are too cerebral, and go against their truest nature in selecting mates, though I mean that in a refined civilized good way. Gotta go with the 50/50 physicality/health and character/intelligence, going towards the physical/health side more so.

  • @bu1letpr00f Which male in their right mind wouldn't like big tits and curvy bodies? Are you retarded?

  • This explains interracial relationships!

  • men provide love for sex whilst women provide sex for love YOU CAN DENY IT ALL YOU WANT but its true

  • Seriously?

  • WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE<3

  • Feramones.

Thing is, it's hard to tell someone's natural smell unless they are very sweaty, coz most of us cover it up with deodorants and perfumes.

I wanna find a nice smelling guy ;) LOL

I wanna smell attractive to him too :)

  • i haven't wore deodorant in over a year :)

    I think it works

  • Cool :)

    Thank you for your advice

  • ha said with the most sinserity ever "Im going to sniff the t-shirts of these girls"

  • he should of done that with the womens underwear lol, it would of been more interesting lol

  • eeeeew perve

  • that was a bit strange but cool and interesting too! the human body is just simply amazing :)

  • why is billy corgan in this video?! this is wrong!

  • that is just.. welll.... STRANGE!!!

    lol and intresting...

  • The scientists report that olfactory receptors in the nose activate signaling that ultimately produces a nerve impulse which is transmitted to the brain. It is interesting to speculate that our nose may be so evolutionary fine-tuned that it controls our eventual mate bonding, even though our visual system first narrows the field.

  • That is fascinating!

  • WOw thats strangely amazing.

  • Very interesting, particularly because I'm sexually attracted to a female friend of mine

  • what a lie

  • If I'm lying, then my uncle is a Sith, which is just another fancy way of saying that I'm telling the truth. In my view, she so sexy.

  • sounds like the narrator from little big planet ._.

  • bahahha so true, good one

  • WAYHEY NEWCASTLE

  • I absolutely believe this. My ex husband and I have very different immune systems. I used to tuck myself into him at night and wanted to just inhale his scent. We were incompatible, but I have never been as physically attracted to anyone. I don't like it when a guy masks his natural scent with too many artificial ones.

  • It's MARIO!

  • lol...yes!

  • funny

  • wtf? that's kinda strange

  • this video..stinks...i dont want to see it anymore...WHAT?!! It doesnt want to see ME?!!

    I took a shower...I use cologne...imma handsome fellow...im OUTTA here!!!

  • wow

    that is VERY interesting

  • very good video.

check out Shopenhauer´s essay on "love", it supports that love is guided by the instinct to choose the most capable mother for our sons.

  • what if the girl that i like from her smell doesn't like my smell ???

  • So isn't this whole system screwed up by wearing perfumes?

  • probably. i hate perfumes. :P

  • Me too. I hate their smell...

  • @allocater

    No, pheromones aint an scent.

  • @allocater good perfumes enhance them while giving a yummy smell too thats why diffrent perfumes smell diffrent on diffrent people :D

  • @allocater Ahahaha that's obvious isn't it? every man is gets 10 extra hot points if he has nice cologne on. =P

  • @allocater

No I do not think so. Have you noticed that perfums smell diffrent depending on who whears them ? Maybe this is why, we are capable of an interpretation.

  • @allocater Exactly

  • @allocater I dont wear perfume. and i have sex at least 17 and a half times a day

  • @njamesmurphy get real mate

  • Good looks plus healthy & proportionate individuals can be an indication of healthy genes, but smell is just anther highly evolved way of finding good genetic compatibility.

  • Sexual attraction is what will soon be the cause of the demise of Human life.

  • thts weird bt amazing

  • Kinda silly sorry maybe in instinct days this was important but we have evolved and i think if someone smells right but is an idiot your not going to be attracted to them i dont think we are that shallow, wow we can make good babies but your an idiot

  • At no point have human beings 'instinct days' ended. The right smell is only discarded if another, more powerful instinct beats it to the punch. If having babies with idiots produced healthier babies, we'd all be attracted to idiots.

  • Attracted to someone with good genes absolutely, but everybody having babies with them is a completely different subject in todays society,Id say the smell is a very easily discarded instinct and even more so in todays society
