Wow! Cecilia Bartoli is great! A really charming performer! I have to say - after everything I've heard/seen from AN - I liked mostly her performance as Giulietta in Bellini's "I capuleti e i montecchi". She was really great there! But she should forget about Norma!!!... and Lucia di Lammermoor, and Anna Bolena, and and and :P

I like AN in Traviata (but only the Salzburger Festspiele production, before she had an horrible italian diction) and in Nozze di Figaro! I'm waiting for the Boheme movie...

I think it will be intersting, even if she is surly not Mimi!

This Boheme will be a money spinner, but definetely no artistic revelation! :P There are so many other great recordings: Freni/Pavarotti, Caballé/Domingo, Callas/Di Stefano,...

But I've said several times that IMO opera movies never can become good, because they are always using playback and "kitschy" scenes...

I totally agree with you.. Do you remeber the Popera stars???!!! Puccini is surly not a star of Hollywood!!! Anyway I think it's intersting to see how the movie will be, and how much it will be trash... Maybe it will be succesfull!!!

Anyway, if I want to listen a good Boheme, don't worry, I have the Callas-Di Stefano edition!!!!

This track is from Elina Garanca's 'Aria Cantilena', so I don't think there's a DVD... (I'm sure I regret that more than you do).

I chose all the photos, which I found mostly in their official websites (easily found on Google ^^). If you wanted to know anything else, just ask me. I'm quite proud to say I know nearly everything about Diana Damrau (not about Garanca, but I could find out lol)
