real cool discus tank - maybe even nicer than mine lol - looks a bit crowded though - i have a biotope tank with discus angels rams cardinals rummys and corys - hey i like the music too - thanks rob
Tell me how to look after them, I just put 10 in my pond outside hope they like it. Can i feed them the cat biscuits I feed my koi or do they prefer rice bubbles or something?
@jasonfish07 that sounds good, i think they might enjoy it better in a goldfish bowl instead, that way you can keep an eye on them. and these fish love left over pizza
This is a very beautiful tank! Aren't discus a challenge to keep? If they are you certainly make it look easy! This piece is such a wonderful piano composition too.
@robertrobert905 no, because i heard so much bout discus fish, like that its really hard to take care of it, but like, what are the major aspects of taking care of discus?
@glebmax hey, u can probably find alot of useful links to how to care for these fish online..a friend of mine is raising some of these at the moment too, they are challenging to take care of, but not impossible and I heard they're really awesome fish to have haha
You have an absolutely beautiful aquarium. Its nice to know that there is in fact people who care for their pet fish and don't just stick them in bowls and wait for them to die.
These are beautiful fish. When we were 1st married in an apartment and our first home in the 1970s we had several tanks. Once we got a dog, we sold all of our aquariums. Never were able to have discus, but we raised mating pairs of Jack Dempsey's and African white cichlids--which were so prolific that we sold the babies to an aquarium store for 50Cents each! Largest aquarium we ever had was maybe 75 gal, then 55, 40, 35, 25, 15 and 10. (started small and worked up to larger.
Sick setup. It's not cramped. Only a hater would have that to say, meanwhile they got a 55g with discus setup with colored gravel and artificial everything. Haters are such b@#%hes. I swear.
It may *look* cramped because these fish are always within two inches of each other. I think it looks great. Your discus are beautiful. I can see their growth in addition to the angels which have always been my personal favorites. Beautiful plants; I was never able to grow any real ones that lasted long.

Wat filtration do you use?? pleas :) Need something that works for my tank. it is a 540Liter with Discus and a lot off other fish, and live plants. ?really need some advice . thanks
@ANcl1234ehs i have 2 filters, an aquaclear 400 or 500 and a penguin biowheel, the largest model. It's a big investment, about $150 perhaps, but these 2 filters will last you years (I had the aquaclear for almost 10 years) All you need in the filter are the sponges which also lasts forever.

I can see how it could look cramped with how big the fish are! Really fantastic tank, I have tank envy.
