@Greenstang02 well if that is a stocked 2.3. it would have a diff. speedometer where 55 is in red and it sure as hell would soo alot diff. with a turbo

Im doing a svo motor swap here in a few weeks can you give me some tips to make it faster like in acceleration wise top speed is nice too.lol. Im gonna put a cold air intake but idk if i should keep the turbo or if i should upgrade the turbo from stock. What ideas can you give me?

Speedo is in KPH..Speedo only goes up to 80 MPH in these models..though you can get a 140 MPH one to work..this one says KPH in the lower right hand corner and goes to 180 lol..nice try though

nice 8 sec 0-60. is it alot cheaper to make a 2.3 turbo than an engine swap?

If you are not a mechanic, keep away from that swap. There is always something to do and the regular mechanic guys wont work on your car, you will have to do it yourself.

Someone thinking that you can do 60 mph in first gear in 2 seconds with a 2.3 have no knowledge in car at all. I put that video mostly for other 2.3 turbo users. Before typing things too fast out of your *** check my other video... you'll see a 0-60 in 5.5 - 6 seconds and my t-bird in 7.5 secs. Maybe it is in your nature to ATTEMPTING things, and your have this bad habit of thinking automaticaly that others are like you, but believe me i'm too old for that kind of shit.

@Localdrummerweb funny part is these 2.3 turbo's came with 205 and were doing stock mid 14's at 15lbs stock.....Give it a full 3in exhaust, 57trim .63 stg 3 turbo at 20psi with bob log,CAI,AFPR at 42psi and would run low 13's all under 500$... in a single cam 8v 4banger...try doing that with a car now a days...come 2 JerZ with your " 97 cobra or a LS1" and lets see how far that'll get ya lol if you even have one...

@TPena92 and if your comparing a modern day V8 with a late 70's FORD SINGLE CAM 4 BANGER TURBO then you need to stay away from cars because your totally missing the point of what this video is showing what these motors can do.....Instead of having videos of your so called "LS1 or 97 cobra" which I KNOW i have more knowledge of...you have dumb ass videos of Family Matters Remix versions and whatever else kid...go 2 sleeep....

@Localdrummerweb You argue a guy who is simply saying the car in question here isn't slow and it went downhill from there. Nobody stated my car was faster than your svt or another recent sport car. If you have a problem with turbos its okay i can understand, its kind of frustating that a pinto engine gets 35 mpg and can be that quick. If you bash ford for it, you bash also roush racing to have choosen that engine over a v8 to finally win races in trans am serie back in the day.

@TPena92 Your right Tpena, modifying a 2.3 turbo is very cheap, we can get a real head from boport for 1800$, a setup for the twelwes around 3000$ max including head, header, turbo, computer and all the stuff . I have seen guy here with honda putting 10 grands and getting nowhere. Sadly i never had the money to do it right but i am pleased of what i got actually. Working on cars is somewhat difficult here because of the long winter slow things down i have to work on my winter car too.

Her 2.3l wasnt a Turbo. 2.3l Turbos have the record for fastest 4 cylinder engines 0-60 with the experienced driver.
