  • i miss my 1994 corvette, had SO MUCH fun in that car it was unbelievable

  • I love having a LT1 in my truck (: And hearing the rumble of American CHEVY power!

  • Holy shit lol

  • Add 1 or 2 seconds to account for that hill he was on...

  • did you have traction control on?

  • @averyrayne no

  • You started Moving at 7 Sec. and said 60 at 14 Sec.

  • @Tohken546 he said 60 at 12 sec... just to clarify

  • lol my dad did the same, but now im driving the vette and i do the same shit such as 0-60 and doing a pull on the highway. 2002 corvette with slp exhaust.

  • I drove one of those actually a 96 and wow are they slow... he drops the clutch there so it looks faster than it really is. don't be fooled by this vid. The C5 although i think they are very ugly are lightyears faster than these dog c4's

  • i'm hoping to get a 96 soon, jesus christ that is fast, while watching this video i felt my gutt move back and my back slam against the chair just watching it.

  • I love the why did you buy an auto comment. there are a lot more autos than manuals out there...it's just a given that it's preferred on a daily driver.

  • Oh is it now? sure theres a lot more out. Thats because there are a lot more lazy people out there. You almost make it seem like its HARD to drive a stick. I dont hop in my bmw every thinking, aw man, I have to shift, now i'm going to be dead tired for all my classes. Should've bought an automatic.

  • once you reach a certain age you don't really feel like shifting...I have owned a 95 camaro z28 6 speed, a 98 camaro automatic, and currently own my c5 corvette with 6 speed, hurst shifter etc. I love my car, but my mom hates driving my car says it's to much work... Plus you have to realize.. that the corvette being 60+ grand new, the first person to buy the car is going to be older, wants a toy to sit in the garage and established 95% of the time.

  • I have no idea why I'm even typing to someone with a video of them unpacking a freaking toy gun as one of their two uploads, but you also have to realize that an automatic is very prevalent to people that want to drag race. much faster on the track once you put a stall in it.

  • I know right? I'm such a faggot? Who does nice things for the nephews anymore right? Like putting a short little video for their friends to see at school, on youtube. But for real no one does that. My moth and father just bought a brand new civic with a 5 speed, and theyre about 55. I can see the arthrtis thing being an issue, but I can't see the, just dont feel like it part. and this corvette was not 60k plus... a new zo6 is about 70k. you can pick up c5's under 15k.

  • do you know the exact time it takes for your car to get up to 60 mph?

  • 5 seconds in this vid

  • I just bought a 95 Corvette.

    Green ext. black int.

    Auto. 87K miles.

    $8K

  • y the fuck did u buy an auto?

  • Well it's a daily driver, not a weekend toy or something.

So it has to be easy to drive.

Besides, I'm not really a racer type that really fancies manual.

  • well whatever floats ur boat man, the only auto ive ever owned is my 76 camaro, and thats about to get sold for a 1996 integra with a 5spd. i just like the feel of having 100% control of the car i guess

  • manual has no big bonus u dumb nigger. FAIL

  • Excuse the fuck outa you mother fucker? try losen 10% of horse power at the wheels unless you have a fully built auto trans.

  • You sir are a retard.

  • ehh beleive what you want. its a youtube fight so whoever wins still looks like a jackass lol. but to my personal uses and races manual is always better. maybe not always on paperwork, but seems to win alot more

  • yea manual is more flexible. you cant select what gear you want and you cant launch like this etc..

  • auto's do give away more horsepower due to more frictional losses, when you get into the ultra fast race cars they become a necessity for durability, you might try and learn something before you touch the keyboard, and prove your ignorance

  • You might want to learn some typing skill before you try acting smart.

  • you don't care about my typing skills, if you do you are some kind of peter puffer that got lost looking at corvette video's

  • In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

    Have fun trolling sir.

  • oh so now you have something to say that is logical, great, the net loves bipolars, manual cars get better mileage, offer higher top speed and in slower cars can offer better trap speed in the quarter mile, that was merely the point

  • manual cars get better mpg in theory. it all comes down to how you drive it.

  • maybe when you can't handle a manual properly :P

  • troll fail

  • 1200 you wish try 16000

  • Eh closer to $10000. For $16000 you could get a C5.

  • I like the newer C4 corvettes like yours man but im lovin the 1985 I got. The LT1 makes more hp than the L98 but my Z51 geared vette has the most beastly torque curve ever. Its an auto but it still chirps the tires every shift. LONG LIVE THE C4!!!!!!

  • damn.... that was fierce.

  • lol ive done that before in the same kind of car. i was like glude to the seet. its pretty fun

  • 1995 Corvette with an LT1! Only thing bad about a Vette...is paying for the tires every other month!!

  • LAMO thats funny.... not really how much $1200 or so?

  • 1995 Corvette with an LT1! Only thing bad about a Vette...is paying for the tires every other month!!

  • if your doin 60 in second year thats fast my dude

  • isn't fast compared too what? Don't be stupid. Not all C4's had the same engine. Hp could be any ware from 205 hp/290 Ft Lbs for a first gen 84 C4 vette to 450hp or more! for a 91 GM factory warrantee Callaway twin turbo. Also there was the 1990 ZR-1 at 375 hp which was boosted to 405 hp in 94, the 92 5 second to sixty 300Hp LT1 like in this vid (not a "slow" car by any stretch of the imagination) and the 96 LT4 which says 330 hp but hovered in the 380hp ballpark. "C4 isin't fast" LMFAO

  • point is, it was faster than its predecessors, just like the c5 is faster than the c4, and the c6 is faster than the c5

  • yeah but horsepower took a dump in the early 80's with that crossfire engine. What were the specs of the mid 70s vettes? I forget.

  • lowest horsepower vette was in 1975. a whopping 165hp.

  • @blkmagicc4 what about the 1953 with 150 hp and 1954 with 155 hp?

  • @S0FUCKINGWHAT yea thats true if you want to count the six cylinders

  • sinister launch man props to u

  • whoas! he floors it :P

  • You can't just say it did it in 5.78 seconds. The time it takes for him to see & say sixty alone shaves off almost a second if not more. Also take notice that he had a passenger which equals at least 85 extra pounds of weight (giving her the benefit of the doubt since this is a Vette) and a higher 0 to 60 time.

    That aside, nice vid

  • hahah. thats my old man driving. i was the passenger. i was 12 years old when i recorded this(not a girl lol). i was at least 110 lbs back then. according to the G-tech it did 5.05 seconds w/ no weight and actually going for speed. since i have taken over as the primary driver i have moddified it and had a best time of 12.65 @ 108

  • i thought they do do 0-60 in 5 secs anyway and on to 175mph.

  • They do but it depends on the gearing. Some will do 175 but they won't do 60 in 5 seconds. It's better to have a car that does 150-160 mph since you will rarely go past 130. Not that the cars not stable above 130 (it is) but the average race will rarely exceed 140.

Light to light, flying thru twistys just like a roller coaster or blasting down the 1/4 mile is where all the funs at.

The C4 vette is one fun ass car to own but I caution you all. Don't just hop in one and try to drive it hard.

  • The car will kill even a skilled driver fast. Take allot of time to get to know the car and it will reward you in ways very few other cars can.

  • hahaha thas a very good way of putting it couldent of said it better myself

  • Thats alot of tire spin... he could cut down the time closer to 5 if he was lighter on the throttle. I know its hard to get traction in my 95 vette.

  • 5.78 nice
