you shouldnt comment about something if you don't know what your talking about...the Intercooler blows air the same direction the fans are blowing air...away from the system! BUT the the intercooler isnt a sure fire method as it doesnt speed up the internal fans THAT much. The best solution for 12v cooling fans are the Talismoon Whisper Max...I have them installed in my system and the air coming out is slightly above room temperature...mild at best.

you say you merged the fan on with your internal fans wires, i dont think this is good as it is pulling too much power from the other fans, i dont know i may be wrong but maybe you should look for other power sources
read my video info, i stated that i changed the additional fan setup. So click on the "more info" button on my video and read it. Im running the additional fans off 1 12V, 1 10V, and 1 9V adapters. So yeah this video is not the latest setup, dont look at the fan merging part, its different now.

The model uses the plastic AC connectors straight into the 360 and gets hot causing the plastic connector to melt greatly between the 360 and the intercooler. I'm not dumb, ive done alot of research. lol. u saw the photobucket pic i see. well i got the piece i cut off out from the trashcan and taped it back on the xbox, that hole was a mistake, i totally forgot the dvd drive blocks the GPU heatsink. The intercooler is fine, especially when u have the EX model. I played game with and without the cooler and it seems to be teh same, i bet game performance is litter better without, but i need it for extra cooling, so the power drainage is no problem.

u have to first replace the X-clamps inside the 360. type in "xbox x clamp" on the youtube search. it'll show u how, and the fans u can get it like at Fry's or any electronice place and it just helps you cool it down for better performance.
u have to open up the 360 all the way, look on yahoo or google on how to do it, im not gonna tell u that part cuz its too long. Then u cut the plastic case with a cutting materical, i used a drill with a dremel ring.

the number one reason of ring of death is the X-Clamps, ask any real xbox360 genius. You must replace the X-Clamps before they stretch out over time and start to loosen up its contact on the GPU and CPU then start to overheat, its the main reason.

yes, if u read my video profile, i mention that the real problem is the x-clamp, everyday the clips stretch a little, as time passes on it gets too loose wear the heatsinks cant hold the heat anymore and overheat the GPU chip.

dude... xbox 360 is a really really good console... but it has a lot of failures... I had the 3 red ligths like 2 months ago... y baugth the intercooler and put a fan in the rigth side... I dont know.. its still getting to hot... And I am worried... I am going to buy 4 fucking vents an throw out the intercooler... :D

that wont fix teh problem either. I use to think that but it wont fix it. u need to replace teh X-clamps. type in "xbox x clamp" on youtube search and they'll show u a tutorial on how to replace the x-clamps, it will kill the ring of death for sure!

man, my 360 got the red lights A WEEK AFTER I GOT IT. M$ can't make a damn thing without bugs. Vista = bugs, 360's = RROD, Windows (older ones) = occasional blue screen of death, Halo 3 (published by MS) = got disc unreadable errors on some 360's. the list goes on. i'm not completely hating on them, i'm just sayin, all their products have their little fuck-ups here and there...

i really agree with you, at first i didnt like the 360 at all when i didnt have it yet. I really love the ps3 more cuz im a very very sony fan, i hate apple products like mac and ipods and phones, i hate it alot. I think Windows XP is really good, but vista is very uncompatible, i agree with you there.

carpet has nothing to do with it, it probably affects it by .00000000001234%. mines on the carpet with its mods and the ring doesnt come back with my setup. one of these days, ull turn it back on and it'll stay ring of death.

why does it matter? i guess u didnt click on the link in my video profile to see my 360 set up. 0% of air comes through the holes on the bottom anyways, i put a wall to stop the air from coming out that way and making them travel upwards towards the GPU heatsink.

Niko Intercooler EX is proven to cause the Red Ring of death, because it draws power away from the power hungry 360, not allowing the 360 to have enough power to run all of the componets. I recommend that you get the Pelican Airflo (its USB powered, so the 360 can control its power output.

you say you merged the fan on with your internal fans wires, i dont think this is good as it is pulling too much power from the other fans, i dont know i may be wrong but maybe you should look for other power sources

read my video info, i stated that i changed the additional fan setup. So click on the "more info" button on my video and read it. Im running the additional fans off 1 12V, 1 10V, and 1 9V adapters. So yeah this video is not the latest setup, dont look at the fan merging part, its different now.

yes i know, that idiot that told u that is very stupid. thats the Nyko Intercooler 360 model. The model uses the plastic AC connectors straight into the 360 and gets hot causing the plastic connector to melt greatly between the 360 and the intercooler. I'm not dumb, ive done alot of research. The one in my video, i zoomed up, its the Nyko Intercooler EX model, not the 360. The person that u were talking about is referring tot he old intercooler model. so yeah, just trust me.

First what did you do to cover up that ugly hole and fan on top of your xbox, and what do you think about the Intercooler drawing power from the xbox? Some people say it can affect the performance of the console. Do you think it needs to be modded to get it's own power?

lol. u saw the photobucket pic i see. well i got the piece i cut off out from the trashcan and taped it back on the xbox, that hole was a mistake, i totally forgot the dvd drive blocks the GPU heatsink. The intercooler is fine, especially when u have the EX model. I played game with and without the cooler and it seems to be teh same, i bet game performance is litter better without, but i need it for extra cooling, so the power drainage is no problem.

u have to first replace the X-clamps inside the 360. type in "xbox x clamp" on the youtube search. it'll show u how, and the fans u can get it like at Fry's or any electronice place and it just helps you cool it down for better performance.

u have to open up the 360 all the way, look on yahoo or google on how to do it, im not gonna tell u that part cuz its too long. Then u cut the plastic case with a cutting materical, i used a drill with a dremel ring.

the number one reason of ring of death is the X-Clamps, ask any real xbox360 genius. You must replace the X-Clamps before they stretch out over time and start to loosen up its contact on the GPU and CPU then start to overheat, its the main reason.

it doesnt matter if you have a warranty. when we called microsoft just needed to make sure that we had the "three rings". and about a week later they sent us a box. and the problem was fixed. no receipt needed, and all 360's are covered. that is why the receipt was not needed. but u fixed it ne ways. so it doesn't matter.
