  • My Saturday mornings from 1977 have been reborn, love it.

Whew! 35 years ago, I am old! LOL!

  • @videozfann - I didn't realize Ward & West voiced the characters. That's awesome.

  • @SidJustice1 me either at first.

  • Who was the voice of Batgirl and Batmite? I want to say the woman who was Batgirl in the campy Batman TV series isn't the same one for the cartoon.

  • @MB412

Yvonne Craig was Batgirl during the 60's.

Batgirl's voice in the cartoon was provided by Meledy Britt, who would later become the voice of She-Ra.

  • @vjmlhds I thnk you meant Melendy Britt. :-)

  • @vjmlhds Btw, Yvonne Craig worked on the live action version of Batman (produced by 20th Century Fox/Greenway Productions) as Batgirl, but it was Jane Webb (who also worked on other Filmation produced series such as The Archie Show, Fantastic Voyage and Journey To The Center Of The Earth to name afew)who performed Batgirl/Barbara Gordon's voice (as well as Catwoman) in the 1968-69 version of Batman with Robin the Boy Wonder for Filmation (as part of The Superman/Batman Hour Of Adventure).

  • @MB412

Batmite was actually portrayed by executive producer Lou Scheimler, who did a lot of voice work on Filmation shows.

For example, he was the voice of Orko on He-Man

  • 0:40 "And me, Batgirl!"

    Equality, bitches.

  • U can tell the animation had improved from the previous filmation batman cartoon.

  • The pink Riddler

  • For a minute there they had me worried that they had traded Bat-Girl for Batmite...

  • I was not crazy about Batmite

  • Face...

    Palm...

  • Years ago I also watched this show as a kid in TV. Today I think "What the hell is this" (Batmite is so horrible ... in Germany they made called that animal "Batmouse" ... and that wasn't better ;)

But thanks for uploading the super-groovy end title theme music (really the best thing of this show!!!).

  • That is the lamest Catwoman costume I have ever seen.

  • ROFL!

  • I've got this on DVD. It's just as good as the original Batman toon Filmation did back in the 60s except with a little imp known as the Bat-Mite. Also, I like the wheel of Filmation. Filmation's a great studio!

  • On the featurette on the DVD release, they said they used most of the art from the 1968 Filmation series.

  • Batman used to be 2 words? I've never seen the old 70's cartoon, but I have seen several episodes of the live action TV series. I grew up on the early 90's incarnation of Batman, and I have to admit I prefer it. This new thing my little cousin watches is a disgrace. Bring back Batman: The Animated Series or Batman Beyond over that!

*blinks and shakes head to look again*

Just a quick question, what in the hey is that last thing after Batgirl?

  • Yeah I grew up on the 90's incarnation of Superman and Batman and I prefer them too. Of course I do love Christopher Reeve's Superman movies and the Batman movies too. I'm sure that you are referring to that piece of crap that your cousin watches The Batman, right? Yeah it is a disgrace.

  • Yeah I also want them bring back the DCAU (Batman The Animated Series, Superman The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited)! I even wished that Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman would have gone beyond 4 seasons too! And I was really disappointed when they canceled Birds of Prey (live-action Batman spin-off series) but at least I'm really glad that Smallville is still on though!

  • Meanwhile, I can't wait for Season 9 of Smallville when Clark is finally wearing the "S" signal on his chest and I wished they could finally let Batman appear on the show including Wonder Woman and Green Lantern too! I also can't wait to get Superman/Batman: Public Enemies animated movie on Blu-ray Disc either! Those are all incarnations of Superman and Batman that I enjoy and love including the comics!

  • This animation is even better that the Justice League today. The bodies are drawn with all the natural curves and muscle groups of the human body.

  • Only slightly-the animation used on this show was rotoscoping-that is, animation traced over live movement.

  • Do you mean the old Justice League as in Super freinds or the recent series?

  • how GROOVY! this brings back memories!!! can't beleive i loved this show so much!!! but for what was available... it had it's place. Batman has come a LONG way!!!! and gladly so!!!!!! but it's still MUCH better than that "The Batman" crap!!!!!! that show is just TRASH!!!!!! this show...i think i will pick up on dvd? love that scooby doo sound effect when Robin throws the Batarang!!!!! never did like Batmite though!!! even as a kid i couldn't stand him!!!!!
  • thank God For the Batman animaited series because I would have hated growing up with this!

  • Yeah you would have watched SMURFS

  • ha well anything is better then this... man I hate Bat-mite

  • the song of the ending credit is the best loll

  • @ninjadekonoha yeah, badass!

  • Nice. The 1977 series had way better animation than the 1968 series.

  • The 1977 show has the SAME animation as the 1968 show.
