I love this song. Your video is amazing, I love it. I hope you don't mind me putting in my 2 cents worth but I think the video would have been even better without the U.S. flag. I don't have anything against the U.S. flag or the U.S., but without the flag it would be more universal - something more people - all North Americans and even South Americans could relate to. I'm from Canada and I fell in love with your video, but as soon as I saw the flag I kind of lost the groove.

The video, although meant to be ironic, is oddly appropriate because Bowie was originally going to call the song American Toddler. He changed it when it was pointed out that toddlers wouldn't remember President Nixon, and they don't fully appreciate yet (not before age 7 or 8, anyway), the subtle class distinctions indicated by Chrysler or Cadillac ownership.
