Susie, that is amazing. I paint with acrylics because I turn watercolor in to a big mess, but your video has made me reconsider. Your watercolor wave and ocean is fantastic! Also, it's one thing to be a great artist, which you clearly are, and it's another to be a good teacher, and you've got that gift as well. Thank you for the video. Your paintings are inspiring. :)
Thts amazing! But the only thing is that I'm a beginner and I'm realllyyyy horibble and I thought this went way too fast and I couldn't catch up cause most of the scenes were skipped. But still great job you've got talent:)
@Hibshh Thanks for your comments.....remember ths is only a preview to the DVD. There is much more info and details on the DVD. This short clip has been uploaded to YouTube at the request of my students so they coud get an idea of what is on the DVD.
hi Susie my name is Gabriel, you seem like a wonderful artist in doing a wave. you should most definitely come to Miami and become my teacher. i was thinking of doing a wave in acrylics and any wave that i think of doing i have a feeling that I'll mess up. so i was wondering if you have any ideas that can help me out
@gabrielvinas1 Thanks for your comments. I love Florida. The color of the waves there is glorious! Give yourself permission to mess up while you are learing something new. Practicing over and over helps. You will learn alot from making mistakes (believe me I know!!!) Good luck! Let me know how it goes!
@LilMissCrazy25 -- There was a lapse of time between 0:40 applying the wet paint and the dry wave at 0:44. Watercolors always dry lighter so I try to start with much darker value to allow for the shift when the paint dries. Also the more water in the mix the more diluted the color will become when it is dry. Try it!
This is a beautiful Painting. Well done …I am a poet and the Editor-in-Chief of a new publication, Aquarelle's Letters. We are looking for a beautiful Aquarelle for the cover art of our initial magazine. @cordellrich Thanks! There's a link to my website in my profile that will give you my contact info. I appreciate your invitation for submission. Susie
Your demonstation about sea waves is very nice. On a small piece of watercolor paper the waves seems swirl and roll as if i can hear the sounds of the waves.Good work!
