A little "Uncanny Valley effect" with the characters (Breathe, damn you! Breathe! You're running for God's sakes, inhale now and again! And while you're at it, blink.) but you told a great tale in a tiny amount of time and left us hanging for the flashback/result.
I love micro-stories, the six-word-tale, the little flashes that lead to greater conjecture.
