  • if jupiter were all gas wouldnt meteors just go right thru..how could it have an atmoshere?its moons are rocky.

  • Think america are trying to build a meteor to hiy Iran

  • They say Jupiter is a Gas Planet. What is a Gas Planet? Can you picture such a thing?

  • that huriccane or eye in diameter is the size of earth HOLY SHIT

  • 2:09 (˙, ˙ )

  • lord jupiter.... the saviour

  • This planet consists of only gas.gas, but a large gas.You do not have respect for all gases.

  • we must respect all the planets.

  • jupiter might be god in a fake form

  • jupiter contains hydrogene & helium just like sun. but according to research it won't become a star.

  • @mslaxmi18 Yeah Jupiters core does'nt become nearly hot enough to allow nuclear fusion.

  • @mslaxmi18 The information I gave, has only been privy to a few people. Has nothing to do with research. Understand that the/our scientific community also has political outcroppings. This meaning, that all you get in research is not necessarily true! The implosions on Jupiter have been done on purpose.

  • @mslaxmi18 it was about to become a star but then it didn't had enough of something that i forgot what was it called and it just falied

  • @0032170 its hydrogen and helium but the sun hoged it all...

  • @tonyb24242424 oh ok thanks

  • Jupiter's red spot looks like an eye.

  • i would b so scared 2 go next 2 jupiter on a ship....

  • I AM JUPITER!! I WILL MUNCH YOU UP YOU METEORS!!

  • The Bringer of Jollity!

  • Also to add that Jupiter's cloud effects give me the creeps in a strange way. Like a giant mass of tissue and slim that's alive! ^.^

  • This seems to be the only video on the web of actual footage of Jupiter. (until the end in some parts) I can't find anything elsewhere. Thanks for posting!!

  • jupiter is the representation of the archangel Michael in the bible who goes to war with the fallen angels (meteors, asteroids and comets = the serpents) in heaven in the end of days

  • thanks for saving us..earth!!

  • Lol, so the Romans had it right... Praise Jupiter!

  • Meteor that goes into the red spot: OMG HELP ME OH SHIT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Its a failed star

  • @palatena Clay Aiken is a failed star not Jupiter...

  • @MarcoTUV Both of them are.

  • Epic!! O_O

Я не думал, что юпитер такой страшный и в тоже время такой красивый.

  • shows that jupiter likes to eat them!

  • look at that surface, and think how we're never gonna land there, because there IS no surface...

  • isnt Jupiter gas..? ._.

  • @97fille97 it has a rocky core like all planets...

  • @shadowthededgehog2

Pretty sure I read somewhere that it was gas and a sort of plasma core.... not rocky

  • @BennySakuraba rlly? thats even better

  • @shadowthededgehog2 shows how much u know u retard

  • @Bulltilt31 You know what? FUCK YOU

  • At 26 seconds, you can see the Great Red Spot grab a small storm and fling it around to the other side where it reforms. That's frickin' awesome.

Also, I like to think of Gas Giants as rocky planets with ridiculously huge atmospheres.

  • interesting....

  • Man just by looking at the motion of the planet, you get a sense of how strong Jupiter's gravitational pull is. Imagine if it came near earth. It would just suck it into its core and crush us all. We love you Jupiter!

  • @natureboy84 think of it this way. you know about the asteroid belt. well.... Jupiter's gravitational pull was strong enough to KEEP it as asteroids and not another planet.

  • l3w3y-meteors would not go right through a gas planet:

-meteor entering Jupiter's atmosphere would at some point disintegrate due to the enormous pressures and high temperatures (proven by presence liquid H) exerted on it (basically it would be absorbed by Jupiter). this would disturb the atmosphere slightly, however.

    - even if the meteor began to orbit jupiter to close, it would break apart due to the Roche limit (ring formation- destruction of satellites held together by gravitational forces)

  • Jupiter is a big ass ball of gas....therefore if any meteor were to came in contact with Jupiter, it go straight through it or possibly disintergrate when it comes to the surface.

  • We are pests, thirsty for intel, and we are quite skinny.

  • l3w3y think ur find that jupiter was hit by a comet Shoemaker Levy and that didnt go right through so i think its you who need to go back to school !!

  • the storm is 3 earths big well if i was there i would dead in a micro milli nanos second if it exsists

  • okay first.... jupiter isnt a evil planet!! without this planet, we werent watching this videos or talking each other...... ... and second.. lets NOT talk about god .. it exists or not...... we have to keep our small planet by ourselves....

  • It just shows you how insignifigant we are, we are the bugs compared to most things

  • Wow seriously..... You need to learn up. Go to school. Plus nothing would hit it. Its a gas planet it would do right through. Plus god isn't real.

  • lol you need to go back to school a gas planet still has land on it but the land is big enough to keep its gas its gravity is very very strong

  • Can anybody step on the surface of Jupiter? Seriously, i want to know it!Please reply!

  • Jupiter has no surface, it is a ball of gas and highspeed winds. I think there is a small rocky core in the center, but it's size creates enormous amounts of gravity, if you could go in, you'd be sucked in and instantly crushed by the gravity.

  • no, if an astronaut or probe attempted to, they would never make it to the rocky core.

This is because as the probe (lets just say) descended, it would slowly start to realize an enormous increase in pressure and temperature. (about 150 C rise per 100 km)

The Galileo spacecraft deployed a probe in 1995 that experienced this. At a depth of 200 km below Jupiter's upper cloud layer - the probes electronics were overwhelmed by the atmospheric pressure (24 atmospheres) and temperature (152 C=305 F)

  • @JoeEpp18 it is a gas giant... it doesnt have a solid core

  • @Bulltilt31 I really hate to disappoint you but Jupiter does NOT have a solid core, and is being heated up to become a Sun. Yes, another binary star system. This in turn shall melt the frozen surface of Europa and will ready it for colonization !!!!!

  • @MetafusionandSound1 If u read my comment it says DOESN'T have a solid core

  • @MetafusionandSound1 Thats correct. Jupiter has no solid surface under it's dense gasious atmosphere. In fact because the pressure closer to Jupiters core increases that much, it causes incredible amounts heat which turns Hydrogen into a plasma state, this layer of plasma hydrogen also spins in relavtive speeds to it's atmosphere and this is what creates Jupiters immense magnetosphere.

  • Jupiter is tight . i dont think we will ever look at the surface of it . it just looks like a ball of gas

  • jupiter is an amazing planet, just think that there are things out there that make jupiter seem like a small stone compared to them.

  • jupiter is a evil planet.

  • shut up you fool

  • I can´t get over the storm on jupiter, 3 earths big,,,,, thats mad ,,,but i love it.

  • Star of David...as known in Bible

  • gas planet and a storm planet

  • jupiter is gas, so it can't die, only kill other planets

  • jupiter is hell

  • Jupiter looks like a Burger

  • Or one of those really cheap bouncy balls that your aunty might get you in poundworld lol

  • this shows that jupiter`s gravitation saves the inner planets from meteors.

  • @itsahurricane INDEED

Thanks to this giant vacuum cleaner,Earth was spared most of those killer astroids.

    Thanks...Jupiter. ☻•

  • I dont know why but ir scares me :S

  • jupiter is in my bum and my bum takes alot of meteors

  • S.L. 9???

  • Jupiter is being attacked by meteors! Press Z or R twice to do a barrel roll!

  • I heard that storm bigger than earth?

  • i heard that you gay

  • I heard you give people stupid responses

  • hell yea it is way bigger jupiter is massive 1400 Earths could fit inside Jupiter hope this awnsers your question

  • jupiter is gas how is it being attacked???

  • yea but jupiters gas is so dence that its almost like a solid

  • either is gas or solid :)) gas and solid are 2 forms of matter , maybe you wanted to say jupiter's Hydrogen is almost like a solid ..

  • so kind of like a liquid?

  • its core is solidified compressed helium and hydrogen arround a very dense inner core of silicates

  • Jupiter's a giant gas planet

  • theres a small sort of "planet" inside of it. the outer area is gas

  • don't be mad at me but in the inside of Jupiter is a core (i think its an iron core)

  • for what ppl know jupiter's core is entirely formed by hidrogen , hellium, and nitrogen in the atmosphere , then liquid mollecular hidrogen in the inner layers which becomes almost solid near the core ( a very dense icy , silicate core) . There is a proof that jupiter has no iron or other metals , all of it it's on its biggest moon Titan . maybe a massive impact or some gravity forces at the creation of jupiter literally whiped all metals out of the planet inner gravity field

  • some clouds on jupiter rotates on the opposite way jupiter rotates. i wonder why?

  • Take a golf ball and a iron ball of the same size and figure it out.

  • Jupitor...Our saviour.

  • @flips300021 Lemme guess , people will start worshipping Jupiter instead of their gods?

  • If jupiters mostly methane surface.... imagine some sparked up a match there?

but seriously, it would be spectacular!

  • i dont think it would light up. im pretty sure that meteors crash in jupiter, and usually meteors are on fire when they're hurtling towards something at high speeds. so that would have probably lit it. but then again, theres a small "planet" inside of jupiter.

  • jupiter might be red land same as mars

  • O_O i thought Jupiter had no surface?

But then again, if it hasn't, how come there is a swirling storm, how can it touch Jupiters surface??

  • The storm doesn't need a surface to exist.

But Jupiter does have a solid core. Think about all the rocks and asteroids and possibly moons that have fallen in.

  • math is language of humans maybe and thats it its incredible how people are stupid so many people think they are claver we dont know nothing about space we only think the words we speak were created by us the numbers were created by us the space wasnt created by numbers so how can you measure something thats beyond human thinking its ridicilous what we can do is measure our selfs buildings and other stuff on Earth !!! but not the space because its beyond any humans thinking ...

  • Human minds put to much thought into what is going on that most of you just sound ridiculous. Numbers are there for a reason, it gives a sense of measurement. Math is the universal language, because the principles are definite. 1+1=2..... no matter where your at, that can't change etc. A light year is a very good rule of measurement to humans. Because a human year would be different than a alien civilization year. But light still has a definite speed. It can only move so fast.

  • It's not all gas, I've copied and pasted:-----

Below the clouds, there is a 21,000-kilometer (13,000-mile) thick layer of hydrogen and helium. This layer gradually changes from gas to liquid as the pressure increases.

Jupiter's core is estimated to be about one-and-a-half times Earth's diameter, yet ten to thirty times more massive. If there is a solid surface, one could not stand on it without being crushed by the incredible weight of the atmosphere above.

  • Thanx to you Jupiter,,

You are my Gardian Angel,, Earth......

  • jupiter looks so scary. seriously imagine when you see one hurricane here on earth everyone flips out, and it's not half the size of jupiter's red spot..hmmmm....? if you were on the planet jupiter, you'd think you were in hell. what if life really exists on jupiter? we'll find out in 2011.

  • thanks to this gas giant jupiter we're having less chace of meteo attacks because of its strong gravity

  • OMG METOER SHOWER!!!!

  • no it not gettin attaked by meteors jupiters atmosphere sucks in anything that goes near it

  • jupiter gettin attacked by meteors. wow thats goin to do alot of damage to jupiter its a gas giant the mereors would just either go rite through or implode halfway through

  • But they can still cause holes in it and they would not get near half way through... it's half the same heat as the sun at the core.

  • o.o 5

  • The part of this quote. "we clove them asunder" What perspective is "we" from. Also, what is your interpretation of that particular quote.

I am interested at some point in my life doing detailed research on many of the holy books of our world. Just at this time I am busy with other things. My country (USA) has a bad future coming up. To many irresponsible people making poor choices. So I am busy. You don't talk like you are from the USA. I hope your nation has happy things in the future!

  • Well I would not say that, evolution whether biological or otherwise requires a cause and effect relationship. By definition nothing cannot be a cause, because nothing is a Non-Effect, it is not perceivable. A non effect being the cause for a effect is contradiction of terms. So evolution only can continue with the concept of infinity. I suppose the infinite nature of this claim could be considered a contraction in itself sense the infinite is not testable. AHAHAHAHAHAH! I love life so much!!

  • I couldn't tell you if anything does. The extend of my knowledge is too shallow to grasp the causes of the most fundamental aspects of reality. I also have never experienced the creation of all things so I don't know about that either. I can't even remember the moment I came into existence! Life is so full of mystery!

As far as what makes a women beautiful. The mind does.

Thank you for your questions! They were very insightful.

  • Nope sorry, no evidence of creation so far. The big bang is quantum crap, those relativists can't predict anything (its a joke, quantum mechanics is a probability theory, it doesn't even bother to make predictions or do experiments) Plasma theory on the other hand. Boy howdy! Now that has promise. It looks like this universe has been happening forever and ever. But we can only look so far back, maybe we'll find evidence of creation with time. Put the silly book down, do some real investigation.

  • is this video like all REALL?

  • wow Jupiter looks like a STORMY PLACE and allot of Hurricanes XD

  • for sure!!

and jupiter atmosphere is all clouds!

  • cool video! what's with all the new-age stuff on that site though

  • What happens to gas when there is more of it and more pressure? It turns into a liquid and it gets hotter. And even more pressure and more heat, it becomes a solid. Jupiter is not a wispy massless gas ball. It gets very liquid-like when you duck beneath the clouds.

  • Whos to say life can't form on Jupiter, if the theory of evolution is correct, then life can form anywhere in any condition.

  • there is no way there can be life on mars, its a gas planet

  • Ummm....Mars is a solid planet....made of iron....

  • i ment jupiter lol

  • Oh lol

  • The theory of evolution alone isn't the sole criterion of whether 'life' can form. You need to have an environment capable of supporting the assembly of compound molecules from component elements, and these compound molecules have to be capable of things like replication and mutation for something like 'life' to emerge (and the theory of evolution to apply). Jupiter's environment is only capable of supporting inanimate gases; it is about as likely that life will be found on the sun.

  • yes but can those molecules not change to create "life"?

  • Not according to quantum mechanics and the laws of thermodynamics.

  • evolution is how life evolves, not how it starts.

  • economies evolve...

    technology evolves....

    friendships evolve...

    Are those things "alive"

Life maybe something that has far broader criteria then we know. I don't even think their is a definitive concept that is "life" among the population. Is sort of on a "you'll know it when you see it" basis right now. We point at a flower and say "life"...

Is fire alive? Or is rapid oxidation just to simple for our taste. Eh?

  • And that has what to do with this Jupiter video?

  • that's a planet made out of gAS!

  • Dangerous place for human being to be in. But nice to research on

  • lmao

  • lol

  • theshop63 grow up already thats not funny anymore

  • jupiter is a fuckin legend, it protects us from all the bigger comets,

  • you're right because of the gravitational pull of its massive size,,,,,it is protecting us

  • jupiter has got nuclear reactive gases within its atmosphere, but theres one element it needs to explode and that element is oxygen, it has none so thank fuck for that. lol

  • can we be sure that there is no life forms under all that dense and complicated atmosphere?

  • Yes because life cant form under the pressure that would be on the surface if Jupiter has a solid surface at all.

  • jupiter is a gas giant...if that's the case, how could the meteors crash into it and not just pass thru it????

  • That's what we call an "atmosphere"

    <3 google.

  • I was actually on Jupiter when this happened, one of the meteors almost hit me but i shot it out of the sky with my lasor gun just in time!! Im lucky to be alive!

  • hey man, may I go and visit you there? Currently I´m on Saturne, but I´ve been thinking of spending some free time on Jupiter. Where will you be waiting?

  • Yeh no problems, theres a nice cocktail bar called 'Jumping Jupiter', il meet u there.

  • Bummer! since I live wayyy out in pluto I can't catch a flight to jupiter, since pluto's not considered a planet anymore, the flight stations had to close down. Us plutonians have it so hard. :(

  • Ediamond, Im sorry for you. Is tere anything I can do about it? It would be nice if we three met on Jupiter. And yeah, Pluto is a pretty bad place to live.

  • Thanks cow104. Maybe I can warp there. That is if I can pass through customs. The Jupiterian border patrol may consider me to be an "illegal" alien.:/ See you and Liamd1 at 'Jumping Jupiter'.

  • Becareful, the border patrol is ready to catch illegal aliens, have your passport on hand and I hope fuel prices are low in pluto not like earth.

  • Ok,Im on the way.

  • i would really like to visit your solar system one day :p

  • I've been to jupiter a few times too. nice strip clubs there. the women there have 3 titties.

  • well masterdon, i ve been to the far east and seen some chicks with three titties in various strip clubs so what are you saying?

  • gravity

  • FOR

jahfondi= planets arwe made of dust gathering to form a massive rock then as more dust comes the gravity gets stronger.

i dont know the meaning but there could be life on some and i like to study them at my house some times with my telescope and stuff if i get the time but i hope they bring out a telescope powerful enough to see the planet 51 PEGASIb

  • What makes the dust start to gather into a rock?

  • to 5nightsleft: well, in that case, we need to collect more of that dust cuz our population is growing pretty big. :)

  • can some one tell me..

    what makes a planet?

and whats there meening of existence? (not including earth)

  • As far as I can tell meaning applies only to living things. The meaning of a plant is to grow towards light. With humans its complicated because we have minds. So purpose is subjective and must be determined by the individual in question. You give objects in your life purpose and they might only have purpose to you (think of sentimental keepsakes). The question you should be asking is.

    Is the universe alive?

    If yes...

    Does it have a mind?

And the creepy twilight zone music starts playing.

  • Exactly. WE are the ones that assign meaning to everything. What is a mile? 5,280 feet. Okay, what are feet then and why does it matter? What is a light year? In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter. Everything that we study here on earth is relative to everything else we know about our existence. Numbers are also things that we use to measure other things but obviously, the universe cares not about numbers. Otherwise, the we'd be able to place a number on inumerable phenomenon.

  • lol whats with the ending?

  • gassy

  • lol man you can get lost in there, i'll be going in circles so much gas.

  • imagine bein a weather man today we will have violent storms all year round we predict a sunny period in the year 2534 so keep indoors would be an ideal thing to do and we still have to much water in our dams due to a 200000 mm of rain we recieved yesterday.

  • if humans(my self included) weren't so dam emotional and jealous, or competitive how ever you want to word it we could actually get out there and find the truth

  • have a razor blade

  • I agree with meltinmymOuth.

  • i thought jupiter is made up of gas how come the asteroids or whatever it is can hit the jupiter surface

  • gas flows

drop a truck into a river from orbit and it will splash

do the same to a river of low density gas and same thing will happened

  • there are major storms on jupiter.

  • cool know i learn something new again

    tyty hehe ^^

  • jupiter is just like all the other gas giants you find, its made up of bands of cloud with zone's and it even has rings, but it doesn't have any solid surface to for spacecraft to land on.

  • To everyone asking questions here about the dots, and all that good stuff.

    Here's another question/debate.

Do you think Jupiter was a failed star?

    A.K.A. - "Brown Dwarf"

I think that's the scientific term.

    Feel free to correct me!

But I'm pretty sure I'm right!

  • if so we would have been in deep shit

  • there is a theoretic dead star in the solar system, look up NEMESIS

not science fiction, most star systems have 2 suns

  • possibly lookup sirius its 2 stars encircling each other

  • mostly jupiter is larger than earth

  • is this all real footage or is some of it fake?

  • my theory on jupitar is that it started out as a basic rock, pretty big rock i would suppose. Magnetic of corse, i think that Jupitar was wondering in space polverising everything in its path or (metiors) since that what it natrely does now. After killing all that crap all the particals just surrounded it and the particals rubbing up on eachother cozes static which forms lightning hanse a huge storming cloud in the middle of space that
