Obama was give the peace prize the same way i time my brother. It makes no sense of him to get it. The prize merely serves to put some pressure on him, as a pick me up if you will. therefore making him run and make decisions faster.

I think by giving the obama the prize they discredit it and its past winners.

Allow me to express my opinion in the form of an analogy (it kind of sucks but bare with me).

When i tell my little brother to go upstairs and get my shoes he refuses. But when i tell him that i am going to time him (even though i dont) he gets excited and dashes upstairs to get them.

First Gore, now Obama, Nobel Peace Prize becomes some sort of US liberal/progressive award... and it's supposed to be for promoting peace over the World, but hey, at least scientific Prizes are still working.

I no longer think the president has any power anyhow. I think when he was elected, they put a gun to his head and told him to tow the line or else. I still like Obama, yes. I don't think he is really in control, no.
