That was Giza square then towards El Haram street. I grew up five minutes away from where the video ended. Man I miss Egypt, this brings back memories. I grew up around these streets and I still know each and everyone like the back of my hand. Thanks for posting.
That video does not do the traffic in Cairo justice. It was way worse. I am American, married to an Egyptian. I have been to Cairo 4 times and I still hang on for dear life, but I love it. Nighttime is worse, no one uses their headlights and they go even faster..... I love Cairo!

the reason your saying that is because if you go to alexandria they refer to egypt as masr, but formal translation of egypt is masr and cairo is al qahirah.
the city of Cairo is huge... i´ve been there August 2006 will be recorded as the best month of my last years! i´ll get back to egypt vey soon i hope! love that country =D

Not really, dude. Cairo's name in Arabic is AlQahirah. Only colloquial Cairo is called masr (مصر)
