  • This is a 1986 model. It needed an extensive rebuild of the transom due to rot. I've done some Island hopping and camping out of it and It never ceases to amaze me how big and tough these little boats are. This video was taken at the old oil dock next to the Mukilteo ferry terminal.

  • @grandmastergoat1 Ah, that's why it looks so familiar - I launch out of Everett all the time, but I've never been on the inside of that oil dock where you started out so I didn't recognize it. Cool boat, I miss mine, but I now have a 12' Achilles with 15 hp again, so it's slightly smaller but still lots of fun. I don't dive, just cruise around.

  • @NWBoating My first inflatable was an OLD 11' Achilles. I actually think Achilles makes a better boat than Zodiac historically; what with Zodiac's glue problems in the 90's.

  • Those are great boats! I had a 1980 Grand Raid MkII that was still in great condition at nearly 30 years old. Where was this video taken, it looks familiar but i can't quite place it?

  • Empty, with calm water, 30 mph.

  • how fast is it?
