Whenever I go to church, I often leave early because I can't stand the traditions being taught that transgress the commandments of God (Mark 7:9).

The Truth has never won a popularity contest. The majority will always follow the broad way that leads to destruction- especially if the broad is a church lady like Jezebel (Revelation 2:20). This is why churches hate to teach the Biblical fact that the main enemies of the sons of God were evil women.

Mega-Church is a hustle. You can get the word, if that is what you need, in any hole-in-the-wall church. I keep my money in my pocket, or give to my kids or people. I grew up going to church, but I don't go unless my wife makes me now. I'm okay; much better than I ever was growing up, because I've evolved as a man. I do like to hear TD Jakes, because he tells a good story and he does make me think sometimes. I will question ANY man, howerver....

@maybwrongmaybringht-I DO agree with you about how some churches talk about prosperity & blah blah blah.. they don't need to do that. Just teach them the way of God and he WILL make you content in your living.

My dad doesn't believe in the type of prosperity preaching you were talking about. Sometimes my dad says if a preacher says. "Sow $100, God will bless you"l Dad will say, "so does that mean, if you only had $99 to give, God doesn't care to bless?" That's just stupid.

But anyway, the bible talks about how you are supposed to bless the man of God. Whether you believe it or not, is your business, but I know that.. my father is NOT poor being that he also has another job other than pastoring. People like YOU may see certain Pastors & think they are getting their money from the saints, & that's not the case.

Black men are not coming to church because they don't want to!! There are plenty of churches that don't "pimp the people." If they don't seek God's help in being placed in the right one, they have no one to blame but themselves.

The minister that you are speaking about doesn't have to beg, because the members of his congregation are paying their tithes. In the Black church - the begging comes because tithes and offerings are not being paid honestly.

@ZABAHsGirl The minister I speak of has been preaching for over 10 years now and has not once gotten on TV and asked for money. If he can do it, then certainly others can learn from him. The God I serve is no respector of persons.

I'm not sure where you live, but where I am there are a lot of churches that are supplementing their Bible teachings with practical lessons. They are having job fairs, career search seminars, financial workshops, feeding the hungry (at other times besides the holidays), community building, neighborhood businesses, etc.

Your question about the 10 fold blessing is best answered by this: There are some rules in the Bible that apply to ANYONE - whether they are born again or not - don't confuse consequences with blessings. Believe it or not a lot of rich people believe in the sow....reap concept. and prosper from it. As a matter of fact the mafia is a prime example. They give exponentially and make a large portion of their money because of it.

I'm sure you've heard it a zillion times about being blessed financially without the mention of the part that sin plays in hindering a blessing. If you have not, just tune into TBN, CBN, The Word network, Daystar, youtube or any of those religious stations. Giving does not necessarily have to be in the form of money. If you can find where Jesus said,"I came for the Rich", I will eat your bible on youtube.

While I can understand some of your comments, I disagree with your video as a whole. There are a whole lot more businesses that have leaders living in mansions, driving expensive cars, etc. and we have no problem.

A lot of what is taught in church is not heeded by the congregants. It is a known fact that if the principles of the BIble are followed, then the number of poor in church would be far fewer than there are.

Do you follow all that is taught in your church? Before you lie, let me say that perfection is only in Heaven, not on earth which is why believers are overcomers, not overcame, unless you are writing from heaven. The bible says, "The poor shall be with you always." Did you do a census on the poor in church?
