  • i'm not turning off my pc ;) + my pc boots in 4seconds i have asrock mobo with instant boot ^^

  • 6 Seconds saved went from 16seconds to 10seconds to the logon screen

  • 5 sceconds

  • 5 seconds can add up

5*7=30seconds of your life saved in a week

30*4=120seconds (2 minutes of your life saved in a month

    120*12=1440seconds (24minutes a year saved)

  • @WindowsGeek12 more than 24mins ,because I turn on my pc twice a day lol

  • 0.3 seconds faster so no improvement really

  • 15 seconds saved ;/

  • when doing technical talk to tech savvy people, its GOOEY!

if you want to be very specific, then you might want to say G U I.

  • You tards.

GUI can be pronounced as an Acronym or just A WORD.

  • gee u i

  • @tried12usernames or gee you eye, for a better understanding of the point i'm trying to make

  • Calling it "Gooey" is the abbreviated and Acronym form. Would you rather say United States Army Security Agency, Pacific or USASAP (pronounced you-sa-sap). Many experts say GUI for the sake that they don't waste valuable time, so I'd prefer you go and fix your grammar, or some other miniscule piece of goddamned crap people like you do.

  • this is the dumbest thing ive seen in my life pcwizkid its not GOOEY its GUI (graphical user interface) shit man

  • @Explorer360 Have you heard how Bill Gates pronounced it? Gooey. So yeah. Doesn't matter, as long as you understand it right.

  • Fucking hell, I cannot listen to you.

Don't call it 'GOOEY' it's not a word, it's an acronym.

    PCWizKid, ha, right.

  • Does garlic powder sting if it gets in your eyes? (don't actually put it in your eyes though)

  • 9secs

  • Hmm...

    Hmmm...

So I watched a 88 seconds long video to save 5 seconds of my life...

    Hmm...

    Hmmm...

    Dah, it will work :D

  • @Alok1905 what's 88 seconds when you save 5 seconds everytime you boot your PC ;P

  • @Davy2612 Yeah that's why I said "Dah, it will work :D"

  • your really annoying...

  • "BOOB TAP"

  • how did you change the start menu button orb??? please make a tutorial video... please and thank you

  • Saved me .42 seconds.

  • well, I'm on a vertex 3 raid 0, I did not notice a difference. doing the processor trick in the advanced menu did show an increase in boot speed, but the no gui seems negligible.

  • You know you don't pronounce it 'gooey' it's G U I.

    Graphical User Interface.

Retards on the internet these days.

  • @bbqsauceonmycock Took the words right out of my mouth. Sometimes, I feel bad that i even call my self a Compter tech.

  • @bbqsauceonmycock He knows what it stands for. It is pronounced gooey. Kind of like they way you pronounce GNU it's not G N U Most people who work in tech pronounce it gooey.

  • @GOLDxDEAGLE I quote Wikipedia's articles on GUIs:

    " (GUI, sometimes pronounced gooey)".

    I quote you:

    "It is pronounced gooey. "

    Who should I believe?

  • @bbqsauceonmycock It's an abbreviation so you do say it like a word. Like NATO or GNU. Or you could say G U I of you want to, there's nothing stopping you. Although it is correct in this case, just as a tip, Wikipedia isn't the most reliable source of information since it can be edited by anyone, try to check with other sources too.

  • @bbqsauceonmycock It stands for Graphical User Interface, therefore it should be represented as a word, but by its initials or by what it stands for, GUI or Graphical User Interface.

  • 5 seconds of your life? Don't tell me you use your computer only once...

  • @anoymous712 he is a hardcore gamer... once he finishes playing it doesn't even boot up any more and he needs to buy a new computer.

  • @RisingAtheists well then i don't know why he spent several minutes doing this trick when it saves him only 5 seconds.

  • @anoymous712 so you and me would watch this video.... we were meant to come together... I love you Patrick!

  • @RisingAtheists lol?

  • @anoymous712 yes, this is the internetz, it always is #LOL

  • it doesn't actually make your computer boot up any faster, it just replaces the windows logo with a black screen. all these ppl that are saying it took 5 seconds off are lying.

  • @couchcody Right, and because it's no loading and displaying a Windows logo, it's not wasting CPU cycles, HDD reads, etc.. on doing that. Meaning it can load other crap quicker.

  • i tried everything and still cant get rid this video on my main page.... its not even in my favourites... any why THE FUCK am i not subscribed to PCwizkid anymore??? i'm allways been a subscriber.. wtf happend.. i'm so confuse.

  • Yay saved 6 seconds of my life

  • 5 sec flat :D tnx

  • 4 seconds! thx!

  • "Save 5 seconds of your life with Windows no GUI Boot UP TIP"

I could have saved 88 seconds of my life by not watching this -.-

  • @HedwiglovesHedwig shut yo mouth, and yo fat ass boy

  • @dperry25 Oh gosh, calm down ad take a joke

  • @HedwiglovesHedwig I was actually joking myself, its a quote from the comedy movie "Life" and I just thought it was a good time to use it lol

  • @dperry25 Haha okay i have not seen that movie ;)

  • It added 3 secs, wtf.

  • omg, had to restart about 18 times to save the time spent watching this vid ;)

  • @TomTomG00 O

  • Does it is totally safe ?

  • GUI doesn't mean Graphical User Interface?

  • the fucking advertising before the video starts tooked 5 sec. of my life

  • cool, and useful

but i like the glowing windows logo

i tried it, and i didn't notice much of a difference

guess i don't mind the few seconds it takes from me :)

but still, i didn't know abot this, and i have a few friends that are speed freaks :)

    thanks

  • lol it saved 18 seconds off of my boot time thanks for the tutorial and your great vids keep up the good work

  • wow..took an extra 6 seconds somehow

    lol thanks anyways

  • it saved me 90 sec. i i know i sounds like a lie but my pc is slow

  • @arsenadio10 reboot you pc

  • third time i rebooted it took only blazzzing 8 seconds,gigabyte ep45-ud3p rev 1.6 ffb bios,saved 22 seconds

  • holly.... saved 17 secs

  • its alright, pretty cool

  • 30 seconds

  • Wow thats true. Minus 6-10 secs. Thanks but is there any way to make a proper screen? I mean like its just a blank screen and my sister might think that the computer is broken.

  • no..it doesn't safe my life XD

    23 secs to login screen ... !!

  • @MJBDC7 did the same for me...

  • 15 second thanx dude u r awesome

  • Nice, thanks.

  • Although this saved me time.... Urrgh . Gonna have to put it back on for now.

  • The no gui shaved of 12 seconds of my boot

  • 20

  • Hey, do you know how I can turn off all the diagnostics in my BIOS? for me it would shave off another 5 seconds, the no GUI shaved off 9 seconds for me :D

  • I have 7 ultimate, and works perfect no gui boot, its much faster at startup

  • I think I save more than 5 seconds, with no gui boot,,, it works great

  • OH dont do this,it does not boot for few pc.

  • zomg 5 seconds?

    go get juice come back its loaded >_>;

  • Comment removed

  • why turn off you pc in the first place PCWizKid ?

  • Destroyed my hal.dll file!

  • @RebirthBeyond Hey, yeah with programs like TuneUp Utilies... :D

  • My ''Time Out'' is 30 sec

What the hell does mean ''Time Out'' ?

  • good one but isnt it necessary to boot ur windows??????????

    plz answer me

  • It saves me 6 seconds... but my startup is still 1:18s -.- NEED A SSD!!!!!!!!

  • @kuracodm ssd's are pretty awesome but 1:18Dam! i have a regular, 5400 Rpm Western digital 500 Gb with ALOT of data filling it up and like 5 boot items and when i just did it i got 22 seconds total with no Gui.....

  • @remix696 it takes 18seconds just to post -.- dunno why (ASUS P7P55D-E PRO motherboard) and then to start the external drive it takes 15s... so here is 33s... and then the boot.

  • Thanks man

  • thanks soooooo much :)

  • is it possible to have your Darth Vader desktop as my GUI on bootup?

  • can you do a post on adding your own sound files for start up on Windows 7 ? I can add one only log off etc

  • Just made me get 5 secs black screen instead of 5 secs windows graphic..

  • @Hokrollo1 same

  • Shall i click "use original boot configuration" in msconfig aswell as no boot gui?

  • What does the windows 7 gui do? Because Im scared that it might be something important and my pc messes up or something. If we can take it off like that why do Microsoft add in the first place?

  • @CountSidius it doesnt let see the load screen for windows.....

  • @using192 Oh, okay thanks so it doesnt lesser the security or anything. Great!...Oh, but I need the UAC password which I dont have so I cant access msconfig-well that sucks!

  • @CountSidius you can turn off your UAC by typing it in on the search bar and sliding the bar all the way down

  • @CountSidius

GUI = Windows flag assembling if you use 7 or no that green loading thingie on Vista.

  • @CountSidius lol because its a picture. just because you can remove something doesnt mean you need to question why its there. well Passwords, backgrounds photos, FILES, and More are on my pc and i can remove them so whyd microsoft put them there? ..... right? and if your scared it messes something up, make a restore point. and create it then try this. dont like it or break something. then go back in time. but 1st of all, just is just taking a picture off. dont know what it could mess it.

  • Took about 10-12 seconds off, Thanks very much for that... :D

  • it saved me 3 hours of my life thanks!!!!!!!!!

  • yes this save 5 seconds in windows 7 thanxx PCWIZKIDTECHTALK

  • wow 5 seconds X (the times you turn on your computer) = to ALOT OF MINUTES

  • I'd say it saved 5-10 secs of my life

  • we could even save 10 seconds of our life by cutin down this intro XD

  • @SkBoi8er ha

  • i wouldnt mind doing this to an other computer that doesnt have a lot of use anyways, but i wouldnt do this on like my main computer because if anything happened to it...diagnosing it without the gui boot could be more challenging. is there a way to turn it back on through cmd?

  • i saved 8 seconds I like it. Thanks

  • follow @chrismacho

    lol

  • I spent 1:28 + 0:20 watch and comment on this video so that i could save 5 seconds loading up my pc..

  • @ImAllFact you take 20 sec. to write a small comment? wow.

  • @ImAllFact and you load your pc about 2000 times so you save around 10000 seconds of your life :}

  • @Poofychip look at the bright side, you still saved .19 of your life booting.

  • How did you change the startup button?

  • It's still loading... It's just like a mirror for loading.

  • Always though it was "gee-you-eye" not "gooey" oh well, potato pitato

  • I WANT THAT THEME!

    What is it? :P

    Link plz?

  • Can I save 14 seconds from this video by skipping the intro? xD

  • GUI != gooey

  • @DomTheJ

    10/10, would rage again.

  • So, is your computer made of goo? It's pronounced the way it's spelled. (Graphical User Interface)

  • Get an SSD drive. My rig boots up in like 20 seconds with GUI enabled! :)

  • @wickedout2010 i have a cheap 500 gb westerna digital 5400 rpm and i got 22 seconds also. be pointless buying a ssd. but they are awesome

  • Hey. It saved me 7 seconds on my laptop. :-)

  • My PC's like a train.. Takes forever to get going and a lot to stop it.. saved me 8 sec out of a 6 minute start up.

  • i was going to waste the seconds in videogames anyway

  • @NICOSHEV same here

  • it's no need

  • @SuprakF1 I'm getting the same thing. Just a black screen where the windows logo should be. Btw i'm running on Windows 7

  • 10 seconds of my life ;) Thansk ;)

  • You can also safe a faw minutes of your life with Windows. Format and install Ubuntu

  • Save 14 seconds of your life by skipping at: 0:14

  • Get SDD hard drive. Boot in 20 seconds :)

  • How to get that start menu button?

  • my computer is so slow, it takes 3 seconds to open the start menu!

  • @mousaey thats when you know to get a new computer.

  • You know how you save a minute and 28 seconds of your life? Don't watch this video.

  • where's the thumbs up and down buttons?

  • what's with all the removed comments?

  • don't remove my comment.. you should have positive and negative comments as well, so people could make a decision on weather or not they should try it. it didn't work for me but it doesn't mean that it won't work for others.

  • nice one

  • I wonder how much this will help my boot if my OS is on Crucial SSD (C300) model.

  • 0 Seconds I don't have that Gui boot installed on my windows vista!

  • @davidbuddy9 Vista sucks, right?

  • @agaen96 your right there

  • @agaen96 Nope

  • thx!

  • These comments are funny.

  • @Hittman305 or you can get an AMD hexacore for 200

  • if you wanna boot faster turn of youre usb controller -.-

  • i have win7 starter 32 bit and it takes like 1 min to boot or less so im good XD

  • nothing ......with and without 37 seconds

  • @Goleo55 same here, takes the same amount of time only your looking at a blank screen and wondering if it's actually doing anything. 30 seconds of panic ! I'd rather have the splash screens.

  • Easily savec 2-3 seconds for me. Using a WD Blue 640gb(SATA II).

  • about 5 Secs .. but I had a BSOD

  • This saved me only 1 sec. I'm using a PCI express OSZ RevoDrive 540mb/s. For me Win7 Ultimate 64bit load in 10 seconds.

  • doesn't work for me

  • Thanks

  • what theme and start button are you using? please reply?

  • @supergamer1123 are you retarded?

  • 4 second on ssd 80 thanks

  • saved seconds but wasted 88 on this vid.

  • @EmperorZhang66

But all the times you turn your computer on will eventually add up to over 88 seconds. :)

  • @MrMoah still.

I love his random vids. Like change the colour of your BSOD :P

  • how did you get the skull and cross as your start button

  • Yea it was quicker :P

  • So quick I thought I fainted and woke up after 5 minutes. Only problem...I almost fried my nVidia GPU for the second time(I had it replaced but then my HDD broke*wails*)

    .

  • if you click advanced optoins over where "no GUI boot" you can choose how many core and how much RAM you want to boot with! i putted all my RAM (4gigs) and 4 cores! i got my pc 10-15 sec faster!

  • @BloodyAzzazzin

Those options do not control how much resources booting uses. They change what windows recognizes for example change your ram to 2 gb and the next time you restart if you open dxdiag it will say you only have 2gb of ram installed...

  • @jeshaw3242 okey, can you explane to me how my computer got really faster then?

  • @BloodyAzzazzin

Well if you did what Pcwhizkid says which is to disable the GUI boot then that could be it also, if for some reason your computer was utilizing all the cores of your CPU then it could be that, so instead of speeding up actual boot it sped up the time it takes to start a session (when you first log on to an account in windows)

  • Didn't save any time for me :(

  • Thank for your tip, but on my Aspire 5516 nobook which are running windows 7 x64 ultimate edition it didn't work......I will test on my Desk and then post my results!

  • thank u!

  • What's happening during the GUI bootup? Is it just a splash screen or are there processes going on the background?
