  • awesome job!!

  • is that an 83 strat? the input jack is the same style as an 83 strats input jack.

  • @dkstryker Nope its a Custom Classic 2007 model!!! It has an Alembic Pre-amp built into the jack assembly...

  • Hi ! When I've saw your video, it was 5mn after having recorded the same song ! But I didn't played an open G guitar, just the chords that I've found, and I had sang the lyrics. And now that I've heard your version, it made me wanting to re-record it with an open G, and a capo at the 4th fret, it sounds more like Keith Richards...Your video is well done, to make understand the way of playing this song.I generally don't watch the lessons, but this one is well done. Thumbs up ! BYE !

  • You go over the tuning for open G which is good, but you then launch into the tune.

I suggest you actually do it in the video then put on capo. The camera work is good as we can see your hands and that seems to be lost on some people who do these kind of videos.

  • Nice Playing! Are you using a chorus pedal. If so, which brand/company are you using? It sounds very natural and true-bypass like. Also, what type of amp are you using and how high have you set the reverb? Thanks for this great lesson!

  • Yep, that is super clarifying!

    Great job!

The capo gives it the tipical pitch/sound.

Ow, as in Gallagher and many more btw.

Lot of Irish/Welsh songs written this way.

To bad it gives so much difficulties/hassle on stage.

    Thanks!!!

  • someone should do a lesson on how to play it in standard tuning or mick taylors part.

  • you see i'm very lousy at tuning so my question if by using a capo I don't need to tune at open G?

  • The capo doesn't change your tuning, only raises the same tuning in pitch. Its the relationships of the intervals which is changed in an "open" or altered tuning.

  • a question: you can replace the open g tuning for a capo in say the 3d fret?

  • Im not sure I understand exactly what you're asking juan..

  • @Singlpilot oh gee he is saying if you stay in standard tuning can you put a capo on the 3rd fret to get that same sound. the answer Juan is no you cannot. even though putting a capo on the G position of the neck, your other strings would not be tuned the right way as to open G.

  • Open tune your guitar or you could buy a VG Strat and just flick the switch. Instant Keef

  • cool

  • wow man, your awesome!

  • Thanks Blue...Its a Custom Classic Strat...I just bought a second Ice Blue one too...The new Mesa MKV has made a real difference as well...thanks for posting!...Mickey

  • Your Strat sounds like a dream. Can't get over the sound. Great lesson.

  • Nice work. Thanks. You just saved me a lot of time!

I love how Richards takes an (essentially) country riff and makes it rock!!

Those open chords and tuning really make the tele sing!

  • Thanks for showing the stones stuff..... you certainly make it clear also...thanks...... Any chance you might do Honky Tonk Woman???

  • thanks for posting. nice sound too ... most players seem to use too much overdrive when playing KR stuff.

  • Is there a tab anywhere, I havent found any gd ones yet

  • hard to find good tabs. This is better. This cat has this stuff right, for a change. A real pleasure to see some proper riffing. Check my channel for some of the same type of stuff. Great job, bro.

  • Thanks +5...Checked your channel too...Great technique man...Mickey
