All Iraqi forces are supported by American and British forces. Eventhough Basra used to be under British supervision, they are gone and its under Iraqi control. But no matter where they are, they are still supported by American airpower and ground forces.

The violence in Basra dropped by ten times once the British forces left... gee, I wonder what would happen if ALL occupying forces left Iraq and how much the violence would drop then.

Not really, villence sparked bigtime in basra a few weeks ago, where have you been? It is up to al sadr, not withdrawing forces geeez, once he orders a ceasefire they stop, but when he says fight, violence spikes. I know this, I am in Iraq for my second deployment.

Friends of mine who've recently returned from Iraq say that Iraqi soldiers including the ICTF (Iraqi Counter Terrorism Force), which are the Iraqi's with the M4's, are no pushovers and have no hesitation to kill any Al-Qauda foreign terrorists.
