@anneege They switched it to Fridays cause less people are watching it. It was on Wed & Thurs before cause that was the most competitive time slots, for the shows that were doing really well. Now it's on Friday's.
I think this was one of the most beautiful Clana moments ever. The writers made my dreams come true. In my mind they are still together and fight against the rest of the world, side by side exsactly how he said it. They deserved it so much to be happy together!

It has been proven that ratings tumble when a show moves to Friday nights.
Clark and Lana was a big reason for Smallville's success. Have a look at big Lana episodes. they almost always have a increase from the previous episodes ratings. Nicodemus, accelerate, magnetic, slumber spell, thirst, wrath etc.. and clana episodes mortal, hidden, shimmer etc...That's why they kept bringing it back. The biggest mistake by the writers was the break up Clana in season 5 and start the lex thing. The show went from 5.5m-6m viewers a week to 4m-4.5m viewers in an instant.
@TheMrbollox I soo agree with you, it just went downhill from season 5 for me, I've all the 5 season dvds, after that I just would read episode recap and watch clana scenes online. they probbaly thought clois would work and decided to give it a go, but it seemed rushed and forced, u can't expect viewers to watch Clana for 8 seasons and then take a liking to Clois, they just ruined the essence of the whole show for the original smallville fans.

Agree too. The show is still good but the producers have to realize that a good percent of the male audience is being drawn to watch the show by Kristin Kreuk. She has been the star of the show for years along with Welling, it sucks not to have her in the show now. No matter what any geeky storyline from the comic book says, Smallville should be able to add its own spin to the Superman story and that should include Lana & Clark forever instead of forcing Lois down our throats.
I love this scene! They were doing so hard that they broke the bed. Clark was giving her the Red Kryptonite Special! I thought this was a great episode. The end of the episode nearly had me in tears. LONG LIVE CLANA!!!

@Suuuuumaaa The ratings don't count DVR / ITUNES. Plus people watched for many different reasons, some for clana/lana, some for lex/lionel, some for chloe. To say the ratings went down because clana isn't there is flat out hilarious and ridiculous. Until you can break down the ratings with proof of what people watch for, your argument is wrong. It has been proven that ratings tumble when a show moves to Friday nights.

Clark and Lana was a big reason for Smallville's success. Have a look at big Lana episodes. they almost always have a increase from the previous episodes ratings. Nicodemus, accelerate, magnetic, slumber spell, thirst, wrath etc.. and clana episodes mortal, hidden, shimmer etc...That's why they kept bringing it back. The biggest mistake by the writers was the break up Clana in season 5 and start the lex thing. The show went from 5.5m-6m viewers a week to 4m-4.5m viewers in an instant.

@TheMrbollox I soo agree with you, it just went downhill from season 5 for me, I've all the 5 season dvds, after that I just would read episode recap and watch clana scenes online. they probbaly thought clois would work and decided to give it a go, but it seemed rushed and forced, u can't expect viewers to watch Clana for 8 seasons and then take a liking to Clois, they just ruined the essence of the whole show for the original smallville fans.

@sanjor8r but actually the show has dropped HUGE TIME in the second half of season 8 and it did NOT get up back on its feet again, a.k.a after LANA's departure and well,I will try to give you benefit of the doubt and say that Lex also affected it! BUT in one way or anther, LANA's departure caused the drop! oh and if u r interested ,,, there is one fact, go ask ur fellas about it,,, LANA's arc is the reason why the show PICKED FOR ANOTHER TWO SEASONS! it was aired during the SWEEPS! u know that?

Agree too. The show is still good but the producers have to realize that a good percent of the male audience is being drawn to watch the show by Kristin Kreuk. She has been the star of the show for years along with Welling, it sucks not to have her in the show now. No matter what any geeky storyline from the comic book says, Smallville should be able to add its own spin to the Superman story and that should include Lana & Clark forever instead of forcing Lois down our throats.
