when this wasn't actually on youtube I listened to almost all the other versions present. But I couldn't find one other with the same energy. Absolut my favorite one..

Il Giardinao Armonico are famous for exactly that. I don't think they handle Bach or Handel particularly well, but for Vivaldi they're entirely peerless.

@1969bartje Actually i believe its the oldest angle of all. they adapted these pieces from the originals Vivaldi wrote
only with up to date instruments. Exquisite!

The giardino armonico recording of the four seasons is a historical milestone in the preformance of baroque music. After listenting to these guys it's difficult to enjoy anyone else perfomring it. Geniale.

@voltamore The first time I heard this recording was in the mid nineties... and as you say I have had a hard time enjoying any other performance of this piece.
