The Wailers used to tour up and down Oregon and Washington. I used to go to their shows when they played in Eugene, Oregon.
They were the most versatile band out there in those days. I once read that when the Beatles played in Seattle in 1964, they made a point of paying homage to The Wailers by visiting their recording studio.
Heard this one sometime in the 1980's. At that time I never connected it was same band that recorded the "Tall Cool One" and their version of "Louie Louie", among others. Never mind as it stands on its own two legs.
Where is J.A.J. every band in seattle played J.A.J.what the heck, What about Mr.Clean and the cleansers.saw him eating a Burger at Dag,s ,on capitol hill in seattle
Not the original, which is still the best offering. The track is not as strong as the original, and the lead vocal sounds like Ron Gardner, who joined the Wailers some years later.

What?! She even took his guitar? Almost as bad as if someone spat on my blue suede shoes. If, I cut him all to pieces, in the gutter.

@dclavesilla - I saw The Sonics, a Seattle band, preforming some years ago. Talked with Gerry and Rob after the show.

This version IS INDEED the original. It's the 45. The one on the 1960 album that is slightly faster is version 2.
