A little tip that might go a long way. Not every sound needs the lips to change. Try it in front of the mirror if you like. See how many sounds you can make without changing your lip shapes. The mistake the software creators and newbies make is to try and animate the mouth movement of all the letters. In reality it does not matter what lip or mouth shape you make as long as what you say is understood.

It's a nice effort. I am not going to say it's horrible that is just degrading and wrong. But I know it can be a pain to sync up. I feel that he is a bit static and the dialog doesn't quite match with his mouth. It's all practice. Keep it up!
He doesn't really seem 'alive' yet. Try making him do more then just making his mouth move. Maybe a bit more slight movement of the eyes, brows. But nice test though :)

the lip sync was ok, maybe work on keeping a mirror by your desk so that when it comes time to do a lip sync you can look at the way your mouth moves while you say the words. I loved the rig though, would be fun to play with haha. keep up the good work

I do 3D and I would say.
1. it's way harder to do than it looks.

The mouth movements are a bit extreme. Also his eyes are wandering for no apparent reason, that should maybe be nixed
