There were two unofficial mascots before Sonic came along. First it was Opa Opa from Fantasy Zone, and then it was Alex Kidd, which is also why you see them in games like Sonic Riders and Sonic and Sega Superstars Tennis.

This was funny. My cousins are furries, so I try to get some commentaries on Guptill89 (the biggest furfag I know on YouTube) to balance out the insanity. And, yes, I've had to suffer through the entire video, and the next one, a "highly edited" and "non-sexual" version (aka, he took out Rouge's tits and Cosmo so he wouldn't look too much like a pedophile and a furry, and failed. Badly.)

@AssMantis yeah, but i can relate man, my voice is horrible too, takes a lot of balls to make a video of yourself talking so props to you, funny commentary. have you thought of using a voice masker? thats what i did when i made videos, i played it off as part of my username (MUJXII commandos are enemies in Deus Ex that have those deep masked voices)

I try to be tolerant towards furries in general. I know some who aren't into the sexual side of furries and I respect that. However, when it comes to people like this Guptill creep, that's when I draw the line.
