  • These Thor Cartoons are better than the New Movie. Th Art work of Jack KING Kirby Rules. thanks.

  • Oden's cape is always in frnt f him for some reason lol

  • The best way to cut the cost of animation in the 1960's,keep the cell count down to as low as possible, and especially when it was Marvel Super Heroes, just use the pages directly from the the comic books, and reuse as many of them where needed. Don Heck,Jack Kirby, and Larry Lieber artwork was used in the Thor cartoons.

  • should give credit to clay kirby for doin these n help from stan Lee

  • i like how Sandu's hands appear to be 20 feet tall when he carries the UN building

  • Thor? steroids.

  • Thanks for the upload! Thor was one of my fave heroes. Nice to hear the intro again.

  • Aaawh, just saw new Mighty Thor Movie tonight. If you love old Marvel Comic Books made into movies, see this asap. My adult/childhood movie fantasies have been satisfied! Can't wait 2 take g.daughter 2 see it!

  • WOW in color!

  • Hi, I living in Brasil, and I watched the movie( Thor ) today, and was very happy to find your video! I went back in time!

  • Great superhero, cries for daddy whenever he's in trouble... you wouldn't see HULK do that!

  • THOR ODINSEN

  • the first actual MOTION COMIC.

  • thor was not dona away with?

  • "PREPARE TO BATTLE ONE WHO IS MORE THAN YOUR EQUAL!" cooollll....

  • DAMMMM TAKE A LOOK AT THAT LCD SCREEN 0:03!! now that´s what I call high tech.

  • wait- WHAT?!!! I want the Valkyries to gird ME with a magic belt of strength!

    ummm......

    Odin?

  • seems like the Marvel writers in the 60s didn't know the difference between "teleport" and "levitate."

  • Seems like every time I check somebody else has lifted the hammer...now I find that:

    Odin

    Air-Walker (Thor #305)

    Tiwaz

    Beta Ray Bill

    Captain America

Red Norvell (with the aid of gauntlets)....

and I still remember wonder woman lifting it, perhaps I'm wrong but don't think so!

  • @TheLocoUnion I seem to remember that Wonder Woman did pick up Thor's hammer in one of the Marvel vs DC crossover magazines.

  • @Steve17010 YES I remember that too

  • @Steve17010 If I remember right, the original enchantment was,” Who so ever hold's this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of the Thunder God." Kind of like Excalibur, it could not be used for evil.

  • hey !! man i just the Love the "Dialect" ...."yond Enchanted nightmare"...use that at your next cocktail party......

  • @2motownjams make sure you say it with the Gilligan Island's Millionare voice. It'll be a smashing success.

  • es increible volver a ver estas series animadas, retrosedi unos 25 años,me da gusto volver a verlas, tengo muchos recuerdos de mi niñez con estas series.

  • Is that background at 0:57 like a TV screen? Sandu can project illusions at 1:11. Sandu probably convinces Thor that he cannot lift the building using his mental powers as Thor could easily lift it easier then a paper box. Wish I had that belt to double my strength. I think Valkyries look more like warriors, like in later Marvel comics. The hammer looks long or Sandu is a dwarf. Beta Ray Bill, Captain America, and Wonder Woman can lift Mjolnir. At 6:11 back behind the tree. 6:44 Isle of Silence?

  • True power, a legendary warrior god. Standing against evil, deceit and unjustice

  • "Impudent clod!"

    Great insult, Thor!

  • since when these old toons were so... dramatic?

I kinda like this, specially the faces.

  • Os paradões eram legais!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Este desenho é da epoca em que eu era criança,hoje tenho 44 anos.

  • Even back then, an arab was the bad guy of the week!

  • I used to watch these as a kid in New Jersey.

  • this is way before my time BUT this has to be the best animation ive seen, btw i was born 89

  • classic

  • Was there a DC/Marvel crossover where DC comics characters Superman and Wonder Woman lifted a Marvel comics character's weapon?

I must have missed that one.

Thank you for posting this blast from the past.

  • Why his skin is yellow ?

  • Odin's spell upon the hammer only allows those deemed worthy to lift the hammer. Others have lifted it in time of need under dire circumstances.

  • @drcrn like captain america.

  • i used to love watching these when i was a kid a long time ago

  • none may lift the Uru hammer of Thor....NONE!

  • Except the Destroyer !

  • I know ...I have seen Hulk do it too and i said to myself...thats crazy?!?

  • Captain America lifted it and so did Wonder Woman...Superman could not however!

  • Superman did lift the hammer..

  • Whoa, Wonder Woman could lift it, but not Supes?

    What's up with that?

  • @Capt777harris Wonder woman did in one of those "what if" issues I believe....

  • this is so funny...the narrator just said loke wins with the help of his mortal friend...okay...he can stop bullets....mortal friend.

  • tengan cuidado...estas son obras destinadas con propositos ocultos, para influenciar a la gente, sobre razas superiores para dominar al mundo...arios o rasas marcianas...

  • this episode is hilarious..lol

  • Sendu:Proclainme absolute ruller of the earth or I shal levitate this buliding to the skiiies themselves!!(...)

    ( m ) ( .) .) u

    It worked!!

Get back! oh U2 shall feel the rath of Sandu

Police Officer: The revolveargh isit pulled out of my hand... arnahnd its aiming at me!

    (.)(o==, \ o I_\

    (Shiny happy people faces)

    It missed me!!

    Loki:That rainlesss murtholl!

    Narrator:his doodoo hammer held high!

  • I love how the dialogue states everything the characters are doing, lol

  • The channel that was showing this cartoon sounds pretty cool.

  • its a shame the character with norse caucasian heritege was considered "offensive" and done away with

  • Where did u come up with this, in Marvel comics there is still a Thor comic and there is a live action movie coming out in 2011

  • @TRBNGR666

Well "Nigger-man" was just too tough for him :D

  • thor was cool.

  • nordicos racistas

  • ignorant intolerant puke.

  • any fan of silver age marvel can appreciate these toons. though the animation be crude at best, the plots, storylines, music, character voices and sound effects are perfect for its time! by the bristling beard of odin, these toons are forever timeless!

  • @chozby

I understand that the animation was deliberately limited motion. In an interview with Stan Lee (included on a DVD release of one of the TV Hulk movies), Lee said that they were trying to make the TV cartoons "as close as possible" to the Jack Kirby drawings.

  • @chozby its just marvelo thats mind blowing, great fan,the biggest amongst other big ones, hihi

  • 5:35. I've had a few mental short circuits in my day. It comes with age.

  • how awesome is that

  • Fantastic!

  • that wes cool

  • Thank you sooooooo much for posting this. I love watching these!!:D

  • Hmm,never noticed the anti semitic tone as a kid..but Loki looks and sounds....then golden aryan Thor..hmmmm.....

  • Both Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who wrote Thor for quite a while were both jewish as was a great many people at both Marvel and DC comics.Loki was actually Thors stepbrother in the comics. A lot of cartoon characters in those days had what we would consider silly voices.

  • God Loki's a fag

  • Zandu = OPEC

Thor = Norway's discovery of oil and gas

  • At the end of the finishing theme song there's a station identification and notice of the next feature. I didn't quite understand who the station is?

  • The belt gave Thor twice his poser, Odin took it away when Thor met Hercules, it was a great comic for me to read as a 9 or 10 year old! I bought these comics in the worse condition, already several years old just so I could read them, it was great artwork and storytelling! Thanks!

  • loki's a maggot

  • maggots 4 life!!!!!!!!

  • If you love evil, loki's a good example to follow maggot wise!!!!!

  • this rules.

  • i use to read the comics, this is so cool. thanks

  • Wow. I forgot how basic these cartoons used to be. Thor is still one of my favourites though. They need to make a movie.

  • The movie will be out in 2010, he will first have a cameo in Iron Man 2. Some say that in the Hulk movie when he is struck by lightning it is a sign of Thor, but I don't know, that could just be hopeful wishing.

  • Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for it.

  • "At last, I've been revenged!"

  • LOL. Cartoon Network wouldn't be caught dead showing a cartoon with a character that had a accent like that, especially an Indian one. He kind of reminds me of customer services reps. Great cartoons back then. Kina danive, though. But I like them.

  • LOL, "mighty" thor? After being Knocked out by weak steel beams, Lets just call him thor.

  • wow, villains were a lot more chivalrous back then

  • C'mon i waiting for voltron

  • loki is the god of lies right?

  • I think he's the god of mischief.

  • He is the god of mischief.

  • Evil...Truly evil.

  • *twitch* I ....hate...Loki's....voice!

I adore the Mischief God...and..OMG...that makes me cringe. But I do love the old cartoons and arts. It's great...except for Loki's voice...
