  • Screw all the asshole commenting on this. Youre kids are cute as hell. Hope Im as good a dad as you when the time comes.

  • good man.

  • WOW you are you fail! sqweezing it makes the volts go DOWN!!!!!!

  • fake

  • hey .. where is my old 3V gameboy color .. ähh .. i mean my: gameboy lemon XD

  • thought it was great!

  • couldn't you wire several of these series circuits together in parallel to increase the current?

  • Yup, series increases voltage and parallel increases current. You can combine the two to get a little of each.

  • You seem like a damn good dad.

  • i was able to jump start my truck using 536 lemon batteries strung in series.

  • Thats not true at all. You would need many lemons in series yes, but youd also need many in parallel too. Series would gt your voltage high enough but you wouldnt be able to draw enough current, youd need some in parallel to get the current high enough.

  • cute kids.

By the way im an Electrical Engineer, so ive done this sort of stuff many times. The reason you couldnt run something off your battery is that while the voltage seemed to be enough it just cant supply enough current. If you wanna light something try a simple red led.

  • @DebeoMorium would a lemon create a stronger electrical current than a potato?

  • I havent tested this off hand. The proper way to test how good a battery you have is to take a resistor of a certain size that is relatively small (try 20 ohms) and put the battery across it. Measure the voltage across the resistor (this will be different than the voltage you see with nothing hooked up). then also take the current through the same resistor. Multiple these numbers and youll have the power in watts your battery is putting out. The higher this number the more you can do with it.

  • so retardation is genetic huh?

  • What in god's name is wrong with you commenters? Get lives for pete's sake. You actually have time to write nasty comments to people who don't deserve them?

  • I'm sorry, why dont they deserve them?

  • Sons?

    u got laid?

  • can you light a light bulb out of that.

  • those kids are cute :-) "we're gonna make lemons!!!!" lol. adorable.

  • That's the guy's kid. Grow up.

  • yes veryy clever

    hrrrrr

  • I like at 3:54 when the dad turns one of them two around.

  • lemons

  • lemons

  • Dont stick a fork into the mains, its not as much fun as lemon batteries

  • I made a lemon battery for my 5th grade science fair and I had 4 lemons that produced roughly about 4 volts, and these guys' lemons barely produced 3 volts w/ 8 lemons!!!!!!!!!!! How sad.

  • Thats the difference between organic lemons and genetically engineered lemons. lol I was thinking if one lemon produced almost a full volt, the bunch would be like seven or eight. I think like the guy said, he had poor connections. Maybe a soldering iron would help with that.

  • lol......i'd be afraid to stick my tongue on that!

  • Took so long to get to the point that I lost interest. Cute kids though.

  • try cutting the lemons up into quarters, series them_ + to - _ while keeping the Electrodes(Cu&Zi) at opposite ends of the slice. oh, and don't wrap the zinc nail w/wire!

    Remember, Series X's Voltage....Parallel X's Ampers in D.C. Cells..

    even try adding salt (NaCl)

or to be really amazed.. hook up an A.C. to A.C. transformer supply backwards w/Lemons connected to the output and your V Meter on the two prongs of the input..YOU WON'T BELIEVE YOUR EYES!!

    HAVE FUN!! *XD

  • wow not good the kids had to redo the begining one millon times

  • rofl nice chipmunk aff. Nice vid too'

  • lick 9 volt battery. it feels funny

  • try licking the 230 V for a power check...

  • hahaha...

  • wen he said it felt stronger itd be funny if it went from .938 to 939

  • the kids are the perfect couple

  • not cool man what you said sounds gay and perverted

  • peto

  • pedobear

  • to the person below why would u want to use water instead of lemons??? that makes no sense lol

  • Use a led bulb which accepts low amperage. You can pick up a low q led at chickenshack. Also try plain water instead of lemons, which work the same.

  • lol @ all your base are belong to us....

    FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!

  • Were going to make LEMONS!!!!. lol Kids say the darndest things. Remains me of when I was a kids(those were the good old days)I like how you quoted from Mr Wizard " Now through the magic of televison"

  • Firstly... heh you don't have to squeeze it. second, you can cut the lemons into smaller pieces, so you won't need all those lemons.

  • LEMONS DI SICILY!!!MMMMM

  • and "collin who are 8" sorry. it just bothered me. and if you're homeschooling these 2 kids... don't. =]

  • im just wondering if he have his kids test the out lets in the house like that

  • cool

  • current is too low for light. voltage is sufficient ,but the total energy you need wattage...voltage and current sufficient both.

  • ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!

  • i wish i had that much fun with my kidz... i'm such a loser... they hate me! how do i be a better parent?

  • let em do what they want, n make things more exciting like this guy did. he made a science expirement fun

  • i am a kid and my advise just be positive and have fun with them

  • At first stop to think you were a loser! :) Don't forget it: you have to be an idol for your kids. Try to excite them! Find out what they like to do (any hobbies) and try to help or do it together with them or just try to make them interested for another things that you think could be useful for them. Very important thing is - spend more time with them! And remember: it's not easy to "rebuild" your relationship to them but it's possible and it'll be a long hard way but you'll make it!

  • sunray1984: thank you for your advice on building a better relationship with my kids... i guess the "spending time" bit is what it is; and i'll admit that i've been pretty selfish lately

  • so you see - you know what you have to do - that's a very good beginning ;)

  • thts pretty kl

  • y la con

  • gringo gil

  • la wea no se hace asi

  • sure..(below) lolz. cute vid

  • nice kids how old are they? :( im an only child way too much time on my hands

  • it says it in the vid, use your ears.

  • w0w what a science teacher. Even tho there isnt much electricity They might do that with something elese.

  • cute kids lol they seem happy

  • hahaha

  • HOLD ON! .98 x 8 = 6.4....how long did it take you to connect all those batteries?

  • it actually took about an hour from the first one to when we actually measured them all for the camera. I doubt all 8 lemons were getting .98 volts consistently; when I first hooked them up I got 5.9 volts.

  • Yeah...I guess that might be a factor. Could you make me some lemons, now?

  • hkfreak said

    "HOLD ON! .98×8=6.4..."

Dude, that depends on the way u line it up.

  • ...in won duwection.

  • ever shock your tounge???

  • put your tounge on there lol

  • lol?

  • awound da wia

  • Not good for your brain to apply Current to your head.

  • aww that is sooo cute! Your boys are adorable, smart too ^^

  • very nice vid

  • awesome video kool kids and by the way my video is jeromy 2 kool

  • lol??

  • O.o this is a amazing shit

  • Build a few more lemons and we won't need power stations anymore. Good work.

  • YAY! i learned a lots °_°

  • "Now lick the wires..." kid gets fried, "OH FUCK! how much was that!???" reads the meter... "OH FUCK 10,000 volts oh my fucking god!!!".

  • lol cool 4 starz

  • Dude, I'm really not sure you should be encouraging children to test for electricity with their tongues (unless you are part of some eugenics master plan - LOL!). But seriously, it was really nice to see a parent spending time with their kids and taking such an active interest in their education. More like you & the world would be a better place.

  • Man, i loved the t-shirt "All your base"

Where i can get one of these?

  • thinkgeek dot com will everything you need.

  • i tried this shit it worked but i didn't have enough current for some reason

  • that is correct. the amperage on this will be very low which is why you want to find something to test this on that is expecting low amperage like anything that runs on batteries. A house light bulb won't work because its expecting 10+ amps.

  • missouriperuano you are correct, I can't remember now what the amperage was but it was very low. The biggest problem I had was that the copper wire I had coming out of the lemon was 12 guage (not very easy for making a decent contact with anything)

  • cool video, your voltage should have been sufficient for a very small flashlight bulb, but I don't think there is sufficient current. Try a cheapo calculator, they are low amp users.

  • LOL hahahaa :D that was awesome

  • Very amusing. :D

  • Looks like you did have fun. Entertaining and good information. Maybe you'll have future Mr. Wizards! :)
