I just think it's so weird for Richie Kotzen to play more in Asian countries than the US. I can understand the whole guitar virtuoso thing, but Kotzen's got this sort of sleazy raw rockstar thing going on that appeal to Americans way more than Asians. It's just so different from the Asian pop culture.

ahh you don't know the story is why,he got a raw deal in L.A while with poison man..i have tried to talk him into coming back and tour, he does come and do some special guest stuff but that's it. he is well versed and it don't matter the country he is still selling tons in the states. he aint sleazy by the way..lol.he has a family and all..he is very comfortable where he is at.

Yes great playing,he changes his look from tim to time, I think his look is fine for this clip and song ,he is a technical soulful player.He was,the last jewel from that 80's early 90's shredding era, and nobody brought guitar to a higher level

guthrie govan did. they knew each other before email and they sended written riffs to each other. i love richie but i have to say that guthrie is technically superior in some aspects, but the rest they are pretty dam equal, in terms of emotion they are bouth giants. he even made a solo aparence on guthrie album erotic cakes. u should really check guthrie out, wont regret. sorry for my english :) 5 stars to richie

I read an interview with Mike Varney and he said RK is one of the only guitar players that he has ever had to tell to turn up the gain. I did think RKs first record had a pretty high gain tone though.

You'd be surprised at how little gain he uses compared to other guitarists. Plus that signature tele he plays is no toy. That has a big fat neck. I think most of his legato just comes from his huge strong rat hands.

If you really use the place and the teachers, I'd say you would come out with a pretty good understanding of music (in other words, what can't you do?). M.I. takes international students. ( O.K. in this live-version he´s showing a little bit of what he´s capable. ) Very much 70ies oriented...his playing and singing.
