bah, Djokovic doesn't really go for his shots against Nadal, he plays very heavy shots and very deep shots, and manages to get an error from him, sometimes it takes him 20 shots, sometimes 25, this happened for over 5 hours, no shot makiing, no nothing.. hit hard and run alot. BORING.

No this wasn't the greatest match, the standard in 3 and a half sets wasn't very good. The Wimbledon 08 final was still a bit better. But this is the best Australian final i've seen..

@EliteMagnifique1 i think it was though. it lasted long and you have to admire both players' perseverance despite their fatigue. djokovic almost lost and he was down a break in the 5th when he came close to winning in the 4th. nadal also came back saving 3 break points in the 4th the quality of points was incredible. i think it was one of the greatest matches ever

In terms of drama, Wimbledon 2008 is the best because Nadal clearly dominated Federer but having trouble to close it out. But in terms of quality and drama, this Australian Open 2012 is the most epic of all.

This tennis match was an instant classic. What a heartbreaking, tough loss for Rafael Nadal. This one is going to sting for a very long time. You could see it in his face of how disappointed he was. A 5 hour and 53 minute match that had great tennis play throughout.

I was a bit disappointed in the matches that Djokovic and Nadal had against eachother in the finals of both Wimbledon and the U.S. Open last year, but this was the first great Slam final that they've had against eachother.
