I Don't know why this game gets hated so much, I mean I can understand hardcore fans of fallout getting pissed, but take it for what it is and it is a really good game, and for me personally it led me into the fallout series. look new vegas isnt bad and the bugs arent really horribbly bad when compared to the bugs in fallout 3 especially since theyre almost the exact same type of bugs. true main story isnt really amazing but the sidequests are just wonderful theyre so many and theyre so varied the game can be played a numerous amount of ways and to feel like you can experience everything it has to offer you have to play it more than once
i love this game one of my favorites but honestly im a devout Christian and the only apocalypse that i could see happening before the rapture is one ever does would be a zombie apocalypse because its very likely that a virus could spread like that but i doubt it even will

One of the things I love about Fallout 3 is the fact the world changes depending on the decisions you make throughout the game. After putting 80 hours into Fallout 3 as a good character it feels like you accomplished a lot of things as people will greet you, thank you, give you gifts, remember you and you can see your influence everywhere you have been. You don't get that sense of accomplishment from a lot of games and it's pretty neat.

You are wrong. The game is an alternate history/ sci-fi game. In the story, during the 1950's, scientists advance nuclear technology but not the transistor based computers. So, there is the 1950's World of Tomorrow after a nuclear war. If you want more information about the series, go the THE VAULT, the Fallout wiki.
@unknownR3c0rds in some ways it's like Oblivion. You have this huge world to explore, and there is a lot of flexibility and a lot of side quests. The dialogs also have a similar "feel" to Oblivion. There are a lot of differences though... the way you level up and the perk system are really different than Oblivion. I tried Oblivion after playing Fallout, and I think I will hold off until I've had a break from Fallout. I've never played Fable so I can't comment on that one.

well he's not killing everyone, he kills them if presented as a solution to a quest. As in Escape!, you can kill the overseer, pickpocket his keys, talk him out of them, or take them from his room, he ='d take the first solution
well, about spending a life time on the vault, its acutally literaly yeah, considering the story but it really takes as much time as the oblivion tutorial (the vault 101 begining of fallout 3 would be like oblivion begining tutorial) or even more, i think its great because in vault 101 u can get to see every single part of the game. what do i mean by thise? well, i mean that u can lockpick, hack, be bad, be good, be neutral, be a shooter, be a cqc (close quarters combat, MGS3 ofcourse xD)
Fallout 3 Is so in depth on pc without addons because it has the one thing consoles dont - Free Mods. Fook2 for example adds over 120 guns, plus the clothing, and NPC modding - and things like Comm, a whole new land with some quests and GUNS. And people have gone out of their way to let low power pcs to run it. Just buy it on pc and be done with it.

@shadowgamer7070 real men always play as women in games. In Fallout 3 gender pretty much doesn't matter, and if you play in third person you'll only ever be staring at your character's ass. Wouldn't you rather look at a chick's ass rather than some dude?

Really good review.
from gameplay to stylistic choices they made.
The very definition of a slow burner, and i love slow films, and slow games.
And the whole idea of the Vaults is so great, one of the best hooks ive ever had.
Id give it a 8-9/10. the glitching, and the fact that you need to buy the Brotherhood of Steel expansion pack, so that you can continue the very game i have payed good money for.

lol,i remember getting out of the vault.xD it was like,2AM and i was wired up with some Monster and just my freind and i so i played Fallout 3 and got out of there.Good god,it was dark in the room,and the light just went like...looked like a lil mini explosion xD lol

Fallout 3.... well I have finished the main story after buying it for the third time. It was good, but I prefer GTAIV.

No, i'm totally not joking. I'm also stocking up on Mentats and Psycho so when i use VATS to kill Rad-scorpions, Ghouls and Super Mutants i'll have more Action Points. Might also try to go to the museum and get the Lincoln's Repeater which is the best gun evar and get 100 skill points in small guns ASAP.
Of course i'm joking. I'm collecting the bottle caps just for funsies. ^^

well he's not killing everyone, he kills them if presented as a solution to a quest. As in Escape!, you can kill the overseer, pickpocket his keys, talk him out of them, or take them from his room, he ='d take the first solution

well, about spending a life time on the vault, its acutally literaly yeah, considering the story but it really takes as much time as the oblivion tutorial (the vault 101 begining of fallout 3 would be like oblivion begining tutorial) or even more, i think its great because in vault 101 u can get to see every single part of the game. what do i mean by thise? well, i mean that u can lockpick, hack, be bad, be good, be neutral, be a shooter, be a cqc (close quarters combat, MGS3 ofcourse xD)

Fallout 3 Is so in depth on pc without addons because it has the one thing consoles dont - Free Mods. Fook2 for example adds over 120 guns, plus the clothing, and NPC modding - and things like Comm, a whole new land with some quests and GUNS. And people have gone out of their way to let low power pcs to run it. Just buy it on pc and be done with it.
