my son has a cerebral palsy, the doctors said that is physically and mentally retarded, I almost lost hope,. but I knew God will always be on our side,. I love the introduction of your video, excerpt from the bible, your story is very inspiring, never quit, love your child,. give them your unconditional love,. no matter what happen,.

I do respite care for a little angel who has Partial Trysomy 11. He is such a beautiful little boy and has a wonderful caring and supprtive family but we are in an area where there is very little knowledge of this disorder amoung medical staff and even less in the community. It is a lonely road for these parents who have no one who understands what they are going through. There is noone to connect with. Is there a support group or much awareness where you are?

This video made me cry because that is EXACTLY how I felt when my daughter was born and the following months! She has Parcial Trisomy 18 (an addition) and the drs said she "might have some IQ issues". She is 1.5 years old now and is crawling very fast. We're working on walking now. She has also proved many drs wrong in her lifetime. My husband and I were both tested - our chromosomes are normal. Her condition, we're told, was a fluke.

OMGosh, she's absolutely adorable! She is! I love it, and I also hope she keeps proving doctors wrong. It seems as though they're always wrong. Why do they do those things, say those things?

Everytime I hear one of my "mates" telling me that a doctor told her she could never get pregnant, she DOES! I hate when they put fear into people instead of hope, like they SHOULD be doing ... *SIGH*

I agree with you brooke it is terrible. Doctors and nurses should be a little more sensitive towards people. I think the reason they tell them is so they don't give them FALSE hope INCASE it will never happen, but they could always tell them there is a chance, I don't know why they don't say that at least. I was told I could never have children either. Well here I am 28 years old and not pregnant. But my husband and I have not stopped trying, recently though we have thought about adoption

Thank you for putting this online. My daughter was born a week ago today and has been diagnosed with a partial trisomy, although we don't know which kind. She has been in the NICU since she was a day old. We don't know what to expect, but your video has given me hope. My son was born with Spina Bifida, and has gone through so much, but in the end it makes him and everyone around him even stronger. OMG she is so pretty! And I noticed how she had some hair and then none, but at the end WOW she has more hair than my 3 year old and it is soooooo pretty! I criend, but not because I pety her, because she proved those doctors wrong and that is the best tihing, I have a sister With CP and doctors said she would be a vegtable. It is hard work,but they make it so worthwhile with the love that they give,Makily has the same dark beautiful eyes that my son has.But what made this harder to watch was the song children from Robert Miles. Our Son has Trisomy 21 (Downs Syndrome) which is more common than Trisomy 22, so we kind of had an idea what to expect when we wer told quite early in my pregnancy. The doctors said they would arrange a termination for us as soon as possible, which we refused. When George was 8 yrs old a doctor said "I see your wife was offered a termination, so did you go ahead with the pregnancy then? " My husband said "no, but he just came along anyway" lol!

Thank you for sharring. Like you guys we waited forever to get preggo. When it finally happened we were so happy and then came the T18-Diagnosis. We were told to terminate but decided against it and got to spend the most wonderful three hours with our little Angel.
