  • can you unravel the chorus chordwork for me please? You go into b7 then e then e7? Hard to folow! Think i have got it but doesnt sound right? Can you help?

  • Hi, those are the right chords, there's a little run up on the bass during the E chord \F# \G then from the E7 to A7.

    Chords are basically G [G6] [Gmaj7] - D7[slide down and up] - B7 - E [\F# \G] - E7 - A7 [Bb7 A7] - A7 [diddle :{ ] - D7 - G with slight variations.

  • thats really lovely! well played-lots of feeling! Nice!

  • Thanks very much :-)

  • I bet your mother would've loved to hear this :)

  • I think I played it to her 35 years ago - though I've not idea what I sounded like back then. She always liked the guitar, unlike one of my school teachers who, when I said I played music, replied: "Yes but the guitar is not a real musical instrument !!"

  • ah those were the days....lol.. very enjoyable John 5*****

  • Thanks very much, Steve.

It's terrible, looking for songs from the dark and distant past now - I'll soon be doing nursery rhymes or Incredible string band songs ;-)

    All the best

    John
