  • The intro and the riff following, is a fucking GREAT driving-car-song

  • cool music...but...are they afraid of women? I dont get it.

  • The Darkness is back, this time is for real guys! just check out their facebook page,as their new upcoming page. And there's still more, FRANKIE WILL COME BACK AS BASSIST!! please thumbs up this so everyone could see it! thanks guys!

  • on radio 1, wow, its a shit station amazing song, dont suit eachother, their playing stuff which they could live and radio 1 plays stuff i couldve made with specialist computer equipment

  • Y'see, this is the only tune of theirs I've been able to groove to. Good shit.

  • put your axes down, MAIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Gazzamaiden1981 thumbs up to that bro......lo fn l

  • its like aerosmith mixed with Metallica! this fricking rocks

  • this song sounds like a bad version of eighties rock

  • @mrmach333 Even the worst of 80s rock is still better than QOTSA

  • @smezec who the fuck is this smarmy prick? did someone in the band rape your childhood teddy bear? thats the only way you could dislike them so much, personally i think you are right about stone gods, i wss fucking hyped about this group, and im very hurt they broke up and can't wait til they get back together, you go fuck yourself harder than necessary putaso bitch!!!

  • @audiofunkdialect Lol, me a smarmy prick? That's pretty ironic.

  • @smezec not the heated response i was looking for from someone that doesn't understand the word ironic

  • @audiofunkdialect A smarmy prick calling someone else a smarmy prick is irony. Keep up kiddo ;)

  • @smezec dude are you fucking kidding me? the only solution for stupid fucks like you is to knock your fucking ass out on sight by every human monkey or thing that can make a fist

  • @audiofunkdialect Well if your penis is big enough why don't you be the first lady to try it then?

  • @smezec big penis? nah my rage is more than sufficient, but you'll find out how big it is after if you are so gayly interested

  • @audiofunkdialect feelin' rage over the internet. Proper cool man.

  • @smezec no, im just an angry guy, but when you have the deaths of everyone who has ever died on your shoulders, it comes with the turf...but still a big fuck you to you...

  • @audiofunkdialect So you go on the internet and get angry at people. That's pretty cool. I'll aspire to be like you one.

  • this is good but QOTSA "burn the witch" is better.

  • @mrmach333 gtfo

  • @smezec lmao

  • @smezec lmao

  • @smezec dude, what have you got against QOTSA?

  • @kernelflack The music is boring and the singer/ guitarist doesn't have even a slight personality. I like music that is fun, exciting and extravagant. Stone Gods is all 3, QOTSA are none.

  • @UltimatePunch Me to & at smezec theres no such thing as cold turkey hes always gunna have that nagging feeling

  • Man, awesome song. Sounds a lot like Judas Priest... MOAR AWESOMER

  • Justin Hawkins where are you?! We need You there ! :(

  • Whoa. My mate just told mee to listen to this..

    I can see why. . .

    WOW! :D

  • agreed!!

  • I liked the Darkness better. They were unique. Stone Gods sounds like Metallica. Not that that's bad, they're just not as unique.

  • The band isn't taht good. This song is their best, i guess. But The Darkness was better.

  • The singer looks like Rob Halford but sing like Dickinson!!! xD

  • oh my god!!!

  • awesome!!!

  • Can't stand the band, but this track is decent.

  • looooooooove it

  • My Best friend is a wrestler and uses this as his entrance theme

  • i love the darkness..... -.-

  • no way Justin needs to stay well away they're awesome without him!!

  • i love stone gods!!! (Y)

  • this is exactly what rock n roll needs...relatively newer bands (im comparing these guys to the greats like guns n roses, motley crue etc) to get it back on top! fuckin awesome song!

  • damn. Stone Gods are almost perfect, all they need is Justin Hawkins (lol) and Hot Leg are almost perfect, all they need is Dans Licks... Damn. I want the Darkness back... *cries*

  • dude i havent seen them since one way ticket to hell what happened to them justin was ridiculously unattractive but they made some cool music although i ould deal without the kin tight spandex lol

  • saw them last year wid velvet revolver and they rocked

  • iv seen em twice live lol, with black stone cherry and airbourne.

  • What A Freaking Awesome Song A Band From My School Played This And It Was Awesome Honestly =]

  • saw them last week at newcastle.

    they were amazing.

    best gig ive been to!

  • going 2 see them 2morrow night at newcastle tickets are still on sale if any1 is interested

    02 academy newcastle

  • I'm off to the Newcastle Academy for the mighty Stone Gods tonight and all...good times ahead!!!!

  • i cant compare Stone Gods to Hot Leg, because heavy rock and "Man Rock" are in different worlds. Same w/The Darkness - the mother that spawned the two kids. They were one of my fav bands, but I think moving on's lookin pretty sweet right now for both parties.

  • My feelings exactly.

  • cool song:P

  • saw them live, fuckin awsome, rocks cummin back at last after all this fake pop shit

  • Pretty fucking cool. Not enough stuff like this out there these days.

  • the radio 1 rock show lol

  • I think the "witch" is actually Justin Hawkins!!!!!

  • You may be right there, hahahahaha

  • Better than the Darkness

  • Love this song-has the makings of a D & D Epic,

Hack & Slay, Burn & Pillage!!

  • the stone gods........ are gods......

  • no magic.

  • needin to go to rehab is no reason to break a band up ..

but im glad he did cos i prefer stone gods ..

  • WAS. Hes been sober for 887 days. Cut him some slack.

Stone Gods and Hot Leg are both better then the Darkness.

  • He's not... moron

  • i still wish Hawkins didnt lve and they were still in The Darkness, but at least this band is awesome too

  • cool voice

  • Reminds me of Skid Row.

  • they supposrted black stone cherry =D

  • saw them when they supported airbourne

    fukin awsome

  • yh saw that too in folkstone they rule !!

  • Don't want to rock the boat too much, but they blew Airborne away (in my oppinion).

    Stone gods are a force.

  • I spelt opinion wrongly. Never mind. I can also spell onion.

  • airbourne need better guitar solos but thir still very decent

  • same fucking amazing in manchester?

  • Fucking awesome

  • fuckin amazing

  • Seen these guys live twice now, can't get enough stone gods. Awesome music.

  • I know man i saw them last thursday in bristol, supporting BSC, fucking amazing. Blew me away totally.

  • i was there too! that was such a good gig....

  • Sweet nostalgic metal sound.

  • i love this band man

they make very very good music

  • Give it 2 months, these gods are gonna be big. Really big.

  • i dont like todays rock but this is a good band!

  • dobra nutka

  • Saw these guys on 20th November.

They were pretty awesome, but AirBourne were just legendary!

It was so cool because i was right at the front and you could see joel o'keefe on the side of the stage at one point rocking out to one of the stone god's songs.

  • can you explain what the appeal of Airbourne is? They're a glorified AC/DC coverband with "new" material as far as I can tell

  • the appeal is that there an amazing band bringing back real music to a world filled with R`n`B, hip-hop and other such shit. does that answer your question?

  • what's wrong with more AC/DC? Who cares if they sound like AC/DC... Some Rolling Stones songs sound like Beatles songs... doesn't stop people from listening to both... just think of it as another album from AC/DC...

  • where did u go 2 c these saw them at the carling accademy at bristol and both were grt

  • Saw these on the 24th nov at junction whilst they were supporting airbourne, they a good band. airbourne were truely amazing live though

  • wtf lamb of god compared to this lol is nothing god band tho lamb of god pown these with heavier stuff

  • what a stupid thing to say

  • how can you say its stupid thing to say?

lamb of god are great and so are these got a prob with that?

  • WOW! This is better than the darknesses stuff, way more heavier! I love it!

  • Saw em last night, pretty good, especially this one. Look out for them in the future.

  • These guys supported Airbourne at Cardiff and they were awsome =]

  • saw them the next day in bristol - freakin mental!!

  • saw em friday 7 nov at liverpool- ALMOST as good as Airbourne

  • i seen them too in newcastle check out my vids if ur a airbourne fan !!!!

  • Sounds like it's fresh from the past ;p

    Fucking epic, good job guys.

    /rock on.

  • Hey does justin have a new band?

  • yes its called team hotleg check out their myspace

  • lame- they're called Hot Leg- not team hotleg

  • in all fairness they arent half as good as the stone gods. They are amazing live too.

  • saw these guys at Brixton supporting Velvet Revolver. my band practices at the same studios as them and "unplugged and raw" they are so good. keep up the insane work guys :)

  • i'm from the states and i just have to say... you fuggn brits still rock! i'm not a huge fan this particular song by the group - the soupy riffage summing up the end, but this group shows promise and i loved their work with justin hawkins. i think i'll move to london in the spring just to catch the '09 summer rock tours.

  • I love you! I want to make sure Blackionkillor are big in the US. You love us Brits don't ya? We love Yank bands too, but instead of moving to the UK, wait till Blackionkillor hits the US. (right now we're only kids/teenagers, but considering two are 13, one is 12 and one is 9, we rock better than most kid bands!)

From Rich, Blackionkillor lead guitarist- don't forget to see the channel for my guitar vids and soon, some drum solos from our drummer danzo and some songs of our own material.

  • seeing them on 2nd with airbourne supporting, and i got backstage tickets OH YES!

  • man these guys fuckin rock!!! brilliant. its great to see good mucis with big balls rockin our ears again!! ye know wot they say, for those about to rock, we salute you!!!!!

  • goin to see them on 20th NOV 08 WITH AIRBOURNE

    ROCK ON!!!!!

  • goin 2 see airbourne live 24 november wiv these guys as supotin act. cnt wait!!! :D

  • the lead singer for stone gods is not dan hawkins right?

  • Its Richie Edwards, the guy who replaced Frankie on bass for the Darkness. Richie took over lead vocals for Stone Gods. He has a surprisingly good vocal range.

  • Instead of comparing their old bands with their new ones, just appreciate the fuckin' music!! lol

  • Watch an Exclusive interview with Stone Gods and hear Dan and Toby's Top Tips on how to get signed and make it as a band.

Catch Ditto Music Live, Thursday 8-9pm on SKY180 (Red TV)

  • He's been killed in a horse riding accident. Sad day .The hoof hit his chin and killed him very sad.I shed many tears for this.

  • singer is too hair metal sounding for me. just generic 80's metal all over again, nothing unique.

  • but i agree, this is a really good song. I'm just happy that they are all still making music!!!

  • man, i miss the darkness!!!

  • OMG it's radio 1 music show wow ha WTF is wrong with you.

  • yeah stone gods are unfortunatly going to go through the same thing that happened to fightstar after charlie left busted.

  • the thing is with stone gods, they're going to be unfairly compared to the darkness, but they are a different band, they are a LOT heavier and are a completely different genre from the darkness' pop rock. i absolutely LOVE this song and you brought a knife

so stop comparing them to the darkness, because they aren't the darkness, and that is what they are trying to escape. compare hot leg to the darkness, because they are the same genre, but stone gods no, it's like comparing iron maiden to mcfly

  • true. the darkness and stone gods are two different worlds, apart from band members there's nothing, i think, common between the two bands.

such comparisons just don't lead anywhere.

  • Anybody have the new album? There's an EP available on iTunes w/ Burn The Witch, Brought a Knife to a Gun Fight, Breakdown, and Heartburn.

Witch is definitely the heaviest tune out of the four. Breakdown and Heartburn are more pop influenced and Breakdown in particular sounds like a Darkness tune. Not bad all in all but lord help me I miss Justin's falsetto. Lead singer here sounds like 100 other guys. I will be checking out Justin's new band (Hot Leg) when the time comes.

  • As a witch, I am wondering if I should be scared........The Darkness still rules over all!

  • this actually sounds better.

  • the song and the name of the band makes me think like a copy of queens of the stone age's burn the witch. i liked a lot the darkness they rocked a hole lot more

  • good song if you listen without any bias. but would have been better with justin hawkins.

  • I liked the darkness but I like this by its own merit.. good job

  • Cor, bring back Justin please, whoever's singing is really bad. Music's fab, but singing - nuhuh.

Hot Leg's new song is ten times better, and even that's poo!

  • This a totaly different band, its not the darkness! and Richies Singing is fine! Grow up

  • Me grow up? I didnt say anyone couldn't have their own opinion, I dont expect people to be sheep and agree with everything I say. Pah. Kids...

  • Yeah, I agree with mentalmole, fuck you

  • yer erm......fuck you

  • I'm definitely gonna buy their new album next week

  • Got it, its awsome

  • Good music but live the spot light is always on the singer...

  • Laughable? What's wrong do they not sound like a clone now that they've grown some balls?

  • when i heard that this band used to be the darkness i thought it would sound the same as the darkness but its metal without justin sounds awesome tho

  • Fuck Yeah This is Heavy Metal At It's best !! .. Fucking Awesome Awesome new band. The Darkness was rock n' roll now they went in a more kickass metal sound wich is fucking awesome !! Old school heavy metal ! :)

  • This is very Skid Row sounding - Slave to the Grind era

  • at last, another good band to listen to

  • great song, also 'you brought a knife to a gunfight' is fantastic. They are different to the Darkness, but also effective, Of course in the future i would love to see the fab four (Jus, Dan, Ed, Frank) reunite, but for now these guys have somethin to prove an this song is fantastic

  • brilliant song, but i do miss the old darkness :(

  • brilliant!!!

better than anything darkness ever done

    keep rocking

  • When it's Jus, Dan, Frankie and Ed once more I'll be a very happy little monkey...

  • My commiserations to you then.

  • Thanks, I'll accept them with hopeful glee. It's coming...Back to the future tour 2012. I feel it in my water.

  • The vast majority of very popular bands reunite at least once after "breaking up". In fact, I can't think right now of any that haven't. So the chances are actually excellent that they will reunite eventually. Money talks, and the Darkness definitely has more to make. So they'll probably be back.

  • Sorry guys, I was looking forward to hearing this, but it's very metal and it's very Bad News? Yaaaawn. Boring. Wheres the humour and the originality and the genius vocals? Justin WAS The Darkness. By the way I thought Ticket to Hell was a perfect album. Bring on the moaners.......

  • Yes, Justin WAS The Darkness. And THIS is Stone Gods. If you were excepting the Darkness you typed the wrong letters into that search bar.

As for humour, I'd advise listening to Heartburn or Making It Hard by Stone Gods, as they both manage to maintain that wonderful lyrical humour the Darkness were so good at.

  • I will go listen to more :o)

However, garage bands have been playing boring tracks like this one since the 80's.

  • Not that good quality.

  • the solo to Is It Just Me? is one of my all time favourites... quality album

  • The last seconds of the song sounds very thrash (from 4:11)

  • This song rocks... I wish I could stop trying to imagine it with Justin's vocals (which is really all it's missing).

  • I absolutely loved it! it wasn't as hard-hitting rock n roll but it was incredible none the less

  • damn this is really good

  • the darkness were better

  • I thought it was great too. The solos weren't as powerful as their debut album, but the harmonies and overall tonal quality was amazing.

  • Nah I'm with you there mate, I thought it was great.

  • Me too!

  • Burn the witch is their song, and it kicks ass, the best NWOBHM song that never was ha ha, their Download show is going to be brilliant

  • Ok i loved the darknesses first album it was brillant there second was terrible to be brutally honest and i thought it ruined them. but now ive found stone gods i really like them and i think that its gd that something amazing came out of the end and the darkness.

  • MUTHA FUCKIN ROCK N ROLL!!!hell yeah

    darkness?! heck why compare??

    they were glam u dumbfucks!

    STONE GODS KICK ASS!!!

  • Dan Hawkins souds in this song a bit like Roger Tayler but with more power!
