The truck was at 80 km/h he was at 210 km/h minimum. That´s like crashing into a wall or tree with 130 km/h.

The speedo will register the speed when the car hit the truck (at the first touch), and then lock it in that position.
And the hazard lights will come on automatically.

The truck pulled the Merc along for about 3 KM (2 miles) after the latter ended up under the trucks trailor - the truck driver simply did not notice the impact in the 1st moment after the crash and only started wondering as there was some strange metal noise from the rear and retarded steering reaction of his truck...

@Oresias And to engineer safer cars forcing non-German competitors to build safer cars. Mercedes should make the roofline stronger and/or install an automatic seat recliners when the sensors in the roofline detect an elevated obstacle.
