I can understand it criticizes the traditional Chinese culture of absolutely obeying the authorities and that one should never ask any question. But I thought for a long time and still don't know why exactly it's about 64. For example, what are the metaphors of the "Purple smoke" and the "Ravens"?? Thank you.

紫色歷來被認為是高貴的"皇族"顏色, 有謂"紫氣東來". 而烏鴉向來是"不祥之鳥", 可聯想至死亡. "射日"更是不言而喻.

此曲於1990年面世, 與同碟"十個救火的少年"同被視為達明回應歷史之作.

@yu2000yu 我記得他們接受港台電視節目訪問時, 他們說那是說香港人的反應 -- 有人逃走(移民)，有人反抗（和 philt74說的一樣)，但是后羿和嫦娥本是兩夫婦啊。他們還­特別提到歌名《天問》是來自屈原的一首詩，那首詩本應叫《問天》­，但是天最大，不容問，所以屈原把它改成《天問》。
