I think we should put Mr. Wells in a test tube and then poke him until his "stuff" comes out. Then we watch the tube and wait to see if God puts him back together.
On the lies, according to Pat Robertson, the Christian god is a lousy shot. Thus we can show that rather than killing the innocent animals you mention, those lies were probably responsible for the recent earthquake in Japan.
On a more serious note, I have to disagree on your dismissal of science as being important in Dr Strobel's conversion to Atheism. While not universal, many people have converted as a result of studying science, or converted to "weak atheism" as a result of applying the
Wait Miller's experiment lead to living cells? Pretty sure that his experiment lead to an empty shell of a cell made by the natural tendencies of phospholipids. It it NO WAY AT ALL proves anything about abiogenesis. At least that's my understanding. If I'm wrong, let me know. If I'm not, I'm pretty sure this "analysis" is about as biased as it gets. Another example of a supposedly non biased "scientist" pushing their religion.
DoesNotApply, no... Dr Miller's experiment didn't lead or attempt to lead to living cells, or an empty shell of a cell. It did not prove abiogenesis, but is supporting evidence.
@DoesNotApply the actual explanation is "not hard" but is not that simple as yours. It involves: gravitational field, type of gas, distance from star, and initial mass of gas. Anyway, it's true that hydrogen 'tends' to scape. And btw, the urey-miller experiment did not demonstrate that abiogenesis has been confirmed, it only showed organic compounds, and specially life-builing blocks, can form from inorganic ones. it's the first step of evidnece in a candidate theory of life origins.
I'm deliberately always cynical and was wondering if stroble, wells were really as dishonest as this vid says. But after the shit he trots out ending 8:55, well, that settles it.
I'm no bioligist, but could anyone really take that seriously?
on the contrary i forgive you for your blatant lack of youtube know-how, and i apologize for my harsh language if you are in fact, literally a woman. i cant believe all you came up with to say was "you spelled 'he's' correctly" ..|.. and since you seem new to the internet entirely, thats how you make a text middle finger, and no, its not grammatically correct. so ..|.. and :O my B===D
"youtube comment" was referring to this informal exchange of shit-talk between us and "scholarship" was a prime example of when you'd actually care about spelling, grammar and punctuation. so while youtube still does not give out free college tuition money based on how much effort i put into my video comments, IT DOES NOT MATTER.
at least do me the courtesy of reading my comments when i write back to you before you shit all over this page w/ more ignorance. since you seem unable to handle my two line response i will break it down for you.
A straw man is when you create an absurdly oversimplified version of an arguement or theory, (like building a straw-man) then attack it in a way that avoids the relevant details. For example, when someone says "Evolution means man came from slime!" It sounds absurd because it ignores all the details of the evolutionary theory, and is thus easy to attack. A red herring I believe is a simple distraction, something that makes people ignore the details of what's being said.
Please tell me Mr. Wells isn't a real scientist. If he is, please tell me that he doesn't teach students. If he does, tell me which school he teaches at so I and my future children can avoid it like the pleague.
wait if something has the right balance of acidity doesnt that imply that it has the right amount of alkalinity ? Or have i completely forgot my high school chemistry ???
I suppose, it just shows this guys innate ability to be source discriminate in order to find reliable information, as any good journalist would be. In the same way that he brutishly demolished the inner workings of his toy train in order to find out how it works- It appears he really has that common intuition which is so rare in a creationist sorted out.
Honestly, you could make a sketch show out of this guy.
How does the cash flow around ID? Does Wells get reimbursed well for his misunderstanding of science? I've watched a few presentations/interviews/lectures/debates with Wells as a speaker, and his lack of ability to understand the topics about which he speaks is ASTOUNDING.

I do however question his claim of converting to atheism via science due to his demonstrably poor research.

yeah, right. Hydrogen was so light ir would have scaped to outer space. Yeah, right, and Jupiter and Saturn are made of what???
sirdelrio 8 months ago
@sirdelrio They have more mass and therefore higher gravity and so can hold hydrogen in their atmosphere. Not hard.

a strawman follows.

So let me get this straight.. Mr Strobel went to a biased source which advocates ID to get unbiased scientific evidence?
