Fantastic and fascinating! Wonderful keywork! I love the Rampone, I'd never seen one played before, and it looks like you actually get the low notes out of it cleanly and quickly, quite an accomplishment. Top notch!
Thanks for the comment. The Rampone is a grand flute. No problem with the foot-key notes - they're just there if you want them (and get the hang of the low B fingering....) Mind you, my R&R is excellent on its low C#/C too.
Thanks for viewing & commenting. Personally I prefer it in the "original" Bb/F - uses the sonority & tessitura of the flute better - & if you want it squeaky/bright, you can always shift it to piccolo (probably would for Barnum show type use!). Funnily enough, it actually falls quite comfortably under the fingers despite being in rather a "foreign" key for a D flute. I'd probably play it a touch more briskly once really comfortable with it & off the dots - & start slipping more variation in.....
what good playin you got! :)

A real "jaunty" tune .
My personal preference would be for the third version / flute .
The pitch suits the spirit of the piece better IMHO
Nice one Jem !
