well...this phone has all the features that the Iphone has, just a bit slower and the video quality is not as good as the Iphone...but it's cheaper and i like customize your own stuff such as wall paper which the Iphone doesn't have and the back of the phone, etc...oh and also Iphone is just ridiculously exspensive....so if i had to choose between Mytouch3G and the Iphone 3GS i rather the the Mytouch 3G.

My brother recently got this phone on contract and I've had a little play with it. It's quite good. Plenty of free applications and the phone works surprisingly smooth. I'm currently have a blackberry bold, so I don't need to upgrade to anything like this yet. If someone can manage to incorporate android with a phone that has a decent keypad & slim body (g1 = too chunky) then I might be swayed enough to get one.

Some of these contract lengths are getting out of hand. As a contract user from the last millennium (lol) 12 months were the norm, then 18 (the deals became so poor on 12), now 24 is creeping in, I can guarantee the deals on 18 will weaken considerably.
I currently use an O2 month-by-month contract SIM and source my own handset. I consider it pay-as-you-go but direct debit instead of messing with top ups. Sorry Mobile Industry - you had me, now you've lost me.

Yeah, I noticed phones were a lot more expensive out in the US when I was out there last summer. A Nokia N95 was about $700 unlocked, it's about £200 ($320) out here xD.
Fuck that's expensive! You get the iPhone 3G over here in the UK for just under £35 per month for 2 years. For that you get 600mins, 500texts and unlimited data for internet usage, e-mails etc and the iPhone is free free free!
Canadian telecom countries make us seem like a 3rd world country or something :P We pay WAY too much for our services.
Although I will say one thing, my provider (Rogers) is absolutely amazing in every way. I'm never without a 3G connection, and if I shut off 3G even Edge is quite fast.. Plus call reception is flawless.

our htc rep had the g1 but sold it as she hated the keyboard and wanted an onscreen one,
alot of people felt the same,
you cant text on the sly with a g1 as it expands to like the size of two bricks when slid out,
i quite like the on-screen keyboard it's easy to use
i use the storm the now and i still prefer it
something about blackberry spells love for me but if i was goin non-blackberry the magic would probably be my choice
all the apps are a bit better com,pared to the g1,
