Spent my 20's, to my detriment, suppressing/ignoring my attraction to women because so many in the gay community were "bi-deniers." Not married to a woman, not unhappy; enjoy sex with both genders, just attracted to them differently. This kind of bigotry is what gives the lie to the BT in GLBT; gave up on gay politics years ago because of this. Bi's welcome politically but no socially

The female singer in this song, Ida Olsson, had a longtime boyfriend who turned out to be gay, and she was very understanding and considers him one of her best friends still. Her current boyfriend is the rapper in the song whom I introduced her to.
