  • Linda Ronstadt is the only person i've seen that can make the cover song sound better than the original.

  • @aussietv2 Is exactly what i think...

  • In the summer of 2011, Simon & Schuster announced they would publish Ronstadt's autobiography. To be entitled Heart Like A Wheel, the memoir is scheduled to be released in 2013

  • latino i mean

  • hurts so bad that Linda's not singing anymore

  • @JonKonLA she still sings just alot of latina music ect...

  • even those she was heading to getting heavy she was still hot even today

  • There's a live duet with her & Hoyt Axton doing "Lion In Winter" that is great. Check it out if you're not familiar with it.

  • Being that she covered Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, and Little Anthony, I wonder why she wasn't an Easy, Breezy, Beautiful COVER GIRL, and be a spokesmodel for their cosmetics. Back then, she'd be a beautiful complement to Christie Brinkley. I truly believe that.

  • good cover linda but im sorry this song is meant for lil Anthony. Good job though

  • Two factors that led to Linda Ronstadt's eternal beauty:never smoking and never sunbathing.

  • This is as if both Linda Ronstsadt performed with the Eagles.

  • @tjrtherocksponge --I think Linda is THE BEST Female Singer....Her vocal range is nothing short of Magnificence. I just love her music for all these years...

  • @tjrtherocksponge ---Wow Didn't know that about The Eagles. I did notice their names appearing on Linda's albums. I had practically every LP she did. I like this LP here alot, Simple Dreams, right? I really loved Mad Love, and Hasten Down the Wind. I just replaced those on CD so I could listen to them---until I get my turntable and LP's out of storage. Also was Randy Meisner always in The Eagles? I remember him having solo hits, right? I also love ALL of the Eagle's members solo works..

  • @giaisbomb Randy was an original member of the Eagles and quit after the "Hotel California" album and tour. He was also an original member of Poco back in the late 60's. He was also the original bass player in James Taylors band, ending after the "Sweet Baby James" album came out. He is a terrific performer and singer in his own right.

  • @tjrtherocksponge ---You are a True Linda Fan....You have great taste!

  • Love this song ... great vocals and guitar work ... In my opinion, this period of the "Mad Love" album was the best that Linda ever sounded ( the songs were just fantastic ) and looked ( so cute, with the rocker hairstyle ) in her whole career .. Great memories ! ... Wayne

  • Wow!

No one today can do that.

  • A great singer! but we already know it, right?

  • Nice haircut baby....Still love you....forever...Remember when...

  • Ah, Linda - the queen of goosebumps. My fav album of 1980 was Mad Love - Linda and great songs. Listening now... Can't wait for 'Justine' I will though. Uh oh, more goosebumps. Know what I mean? She left us so many gems and made so many happy - she's got some good karma know.

  • Such range. Kinda wish the sound was better. What a range Linda has.

  • This lady was blessed with a voice that could cut like a razor. This really bleeds emotion.

  • Linda Ronstadt has struggled with an underactive thyroid for a number of years. She is an AMAZING woman. Love her!

  • @SkyNativeDancer I think she has some type of cancer.

  • AS A GAY MAN, DON'T KNOW ABOUT GUITAR, BUT I THINK I JUST HAD AN ORGASM .... W O W !

  • She ripped my bleeding heart out with this song. i love you linda.

  • EXCELLENT!

  • One of the best voices ever.

  • Linda hit #8 in Billboard, 5-24-80. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Shalom, Linda!

  • What an excellent voice!

  • Linda is fantastic. This song I heard in 1982 or the first time and still love-it. A March evening, these tunes sounded on a radio of Buenos Aires where I am from. Many Greetings from Argentina!

  • she is so awsome!

  • l love you Linda! She is gorgeous and talented! I don't want to hear anymore negative comments about her, if you do, you are all a bunch of bigoted idiots go find a life where you can sing like this,

  • l love you Linda!

  • an amazing song, voice, and talent

too bad they pulled the best live version, copyright issue

  • i LOVE YOU.

  • She is part Mexican. Yuk! Wetbacks ruined Calitornia and Texas

  • @RRNYC1998 How dare you say that, we are all immigrants in this country

  • @RRNYC1998 Both of which used to be Mexico until the Anglos stole them.

  • @RRNYC1998 get over it!

  • @RRNYC1998 oh, shut up.

  • ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm me facina muchooooooooooooooo

  • She was drop dead gorgeous when young, but nature has been very cruel to her as it is to almost everyone else.

  • @samk1101 Back when Linda was drop dead gorgeous she never thought of herself that way.She has gone through a lot of health issues and still looks fantastic for her age (65) without all the stuff other celebrities do to themselves. We are all so lucky to have had her in our musical lives.

  • Linda is now fat

  • @RRNYC1998 What do you look like?

  • @RRNYC1998 So am I.

But she's happy being who she is and not having to take drugs thinking she could cope being what was expected of her. Linda will always be LINDA. Fat, skinny or polkadotted we adore her. She's a cool lady.

You've got to accept change, life is nothing but change.

  • @RRNYC1998 She has a dreadful disease

  • Fantastic Version!!!

  • Noticed that a lot of people commented on the great guitar playing on this song, but I looked around and unless I missed it, I didn't notice anyone mentioning who the guy playing that mean Strat is/was. It's one of the great session players, song writers, producers you are ever likely to run across; Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar. I honestly don't think there's anyone in the last 40 years he hasn't played with. If you liked Don Henly's 1st three solo offerings for instance, Kootch is all over them.

  • She is absolutely my favorite female singer, with PURE natural beauty to boot. The lp cover of her with the Stone Ponys 1st album has been on my wall for over 20 years.

  • I LUVE Miss Linda SOO much..

aLWAYS Purrfect LIVE: huge influence on my Vox...Please check moi and Vibe me on this song...getting Raves...click on link below and see comments section

  • Here she sings Little Anthony's majestic hit and turns into gold again. Wow. Linda Ronstadt is so interesting. A fabulous vocalist or rate style and quality - she had a sound. A "Sound". It's just a one-in-history, once only ever sound. She could put her fingerprint onto anything.

  • Linda Ronstadt is truly one of the most fascinating, remarkable singers in music history. She did renditions of some of THE most FANTASTIC original hits (for example she did her remake of Smokey Robinson's hit) and really, really made them hit songs all over again in the most fabulous way. She is one of the greatest female vocalists of all time.

  • The vocal at time 3:05 is good but there used to be a youtube vid that was even better - it got pulled.

  • listen to the lyrics of this song. if you've ever felt these emotions, it really does hurt so bad. this tune has a an effect on anyone ever put in that position, and so hauntingly remade by ronstadt..

  • So Romantic and Beautiful. Linda is really LINDA in SPANISH, Greetings from Argentina!!!

  • YES IT REALLY HURT SO BAD

  • The sound quality on the vid is crap, but I already know the song and it's great!

  • She got fat

  • amazing vocals and guitar rirffs

  • Listen for guitar riffs just like the ones heard in WITCHY WOMAN.

  • killer guitar!!!!

  • Is there anything this woman can't sing?

  • @fifimsp Not really. In fact, in one TV spot, she actually said something to the effect of "they played a really wide variety of music on the Top 40 station where I lived. A Jimmy Gilmer song would play, followed by something by Leonard Bernstein".

  • Still a beauty today at age 64. Kudos to you,Linda!

  • I like both versions, but I love that killer guitar on Ronstadt's version!

  • This has the Eagles sound just like in their 1972 hit WITCHY WOMAN.

  • @ChiselMouse, yes, you're right! That is a killer guitar!

  • YES!!

  • To Angie, my dearest friend, for the best times and singing this song with me to ease the pain...driving our class and teachers nuts....thank you for the memories Angie!!!

  • when music was music instead of bloody noise ! ALL stuff after 2005 is rubbish and repititious rehashes of old songs that are rubbished by modern youth who cant imagine new songs !

  • What you have here quite simply is a mega-talent of the highest level.

  • @samk1101 Not many can compete in her genre...And then it's just a matter of taste whether you like her or Barbie or whomever...She has been at the pinnacle of her music for a long time...Now I'm sure it's just fun and relaxation and family...Which she deserves...

  • @samk1101 ---You are Absolutely Correct! Linda is THE BEST Female Singer, I think, Hands Down!

  • the original is better

  • Impecable voice! She did it with style and grace, didn't need to show her boobs or anythng like that, wear a ton of make-up. She was just about the music. God I love her.

  • great guitar!!!!!

  • cool 80's song

  • great voice, great song, great instrumentals. 30 years on!

  • so love this song

  • so excellent, love her

  • I LOVE THIS VERSION!! Go Linda!!

  • linda is awesome untill 2day")
