  • seen on lettermen with her husband, on halloween she had harry armpits, it was fucking awesome

  • I really like this cover.

  • imo, the only song on newermind to surpass the original.

  • Hearing this song detached from the repetitiveness of hearing the same unplugged version over and over again is pretty awesome. It shows what a truly amazing song it is and how it can make a singer's voice sound great.

  • awesome

  • Is that a banjo, fucking awesome AFP.

  • Not going to lie. I head banged to this creepy cover..........

  • @Nirvaanaa

    rotfl

  • i love how creepy this it really shows the nature of the song

  • its not my style, not raw enough. but i can respect it. and her voice is haunting

  • finally nirvana sounds good...

  • LOVE this

  • We recently covered "On A Plain" in honor of the 20th anniversary of Nevermind. Have a listen and let us know what you think (it's titled "Chariots On A Plain Of Fire"). If you like, check out our other songs and videos. Thanks!

  • Kurt is clappin

Dave is sayin: "what a depressed woman" hahahaha

  • @SoDamnBionic whoa dude, kurt is dead!

  • @evilmrpenguin you don't get it

  • I think the issue is just the general butt hurt of whenever people cover song of "classic" bands. Be a little open, people are going to cover your "god" artists, get over it. It's a tribute, it's an honor.

And for all of the Nirvana butt hurt kids, dislike this. I did a cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit once when I was in a band. I sang. And I'm a girl.

  • AFP is so amazing and this is a great cover. It's especially impressive how she can make it sound darker than the original. I can't wait to see her live again.

  • the impossible is now posible... This song sound horrible...clip his little wings

  • i dig this track but am i the only one that's creeped the fuck out by it?

  • @izwald1 She made it creepy as fuck. But then Polly is a creepy fucking song.

  • @izwald1 that probably why i like it xD

  • haunting. beautiful job AFP.

  • Amanda Fucking Palmer can do no wrong. LONG LIVE THE PUNK CABARET FUCKERS.

  • This is nice!

  • @alessandrosgirl What a dumb question... If you wanna have studio time you have to sleep with te owner of the studio.

  • @Nirvaaanaa lmao, that was hilarious

  • @alessandrosgirl FUCK YOU COW

  • I know I'm going to catch hell for this, but Possum Kingdom and Sex Type Thing are likely "better" songs about the same subject material from the same time period. Polly was always a good song, though.

  • @sp1derborland I actually agree fully.

  • Is this the woman from St.Vincent?

  • @femmussolini Ok cuz this sounded like something she would do and when i say she instead of St.Vincent cuz its literally her band.

  • @NirvanaNerd364 The woman from St Vincent is called Annie Clark. There's a duet between her and Amanda Palmer on Amanda Palmer's album "Who Killed Amanda Palmer?"

  • @trollcollins See!I was some what close1Not relly though but yeah that sounds cool.

  • this is awesome don't know how else to describe it

  • This songs really takes you away. I feel like Ive just been several different places

  • Nirvana is still better

  • @realityskaters shut the hell up man

  • @jabre12 fuck you

  • She succeeded in creating the eerie atmosphere that goes with the background story. Fucking love it!

  • I always thought Kurt did a good job creating a sort of creepy atmosphere in the original, but this was fucking terrifying!

  • this made my day.

  • I cannot stop listening. This is so fantastic. Is it just me or does Amanda always do covers that put the original artists to shame?

  • @lbee787 This is not - on no way - like that piece of shit, tori amos did.

This is one of the best cover ever heard.

  • pretty good!

  • I think Amanda is becoming more darker and gothic since she is married with Neil Gaiman

    Awesome cover

  • @retinueofmoons i don't think so... her Dresden Dolls stuff is pretty dark.

    But yes, AWESOME cover.

  • Holy crap, Amanda Palmer finally made a good song.. and it's a cover of Nirvana.

    Still this is amazing.

  • @ErnulaCuilan Amanda Palmer always writes good songs. =p

  • Best cover on the album hands down.

  • @slavetoreznor I like your name dude. NiN!!! And to all you haters, do a better cover then open your little mouth. Oh I'm sorry, I forgot you don't even know where the record button is.

  • this and the the Vaselines, are the only really good ones on the album, in my opinion

  • genial

  • Great!:)

  • oh my god, this is way more creepy. The music actually matches the lyrics with this cover.

Wait, could've done without the banjos.

  • @ComaAlpha I love the Banjo. I feel like she pulled it off.

  • sister, what have you done?

    it's an amazing, AMAZING cover!

  • I just heard this for the first time today. INCREDIBLE!!!!

  • Terrifying.

    I love it. -3

It reminds me how I fell in love with her the first time around, all those years ago.

  • I love Amanda! <3 Best Nirvana cover EVER.
