I'm 3rd generation Irish American. I was brought up with a deep respect of Ireland’s woeful history by my great-grandparents. I've been to Ireland and NI to visit family. As an American, I don't have the right to say much, but the "Republic of Ireland" has sold out to the EU and forgotten the union of the 32 counties of Ireland. Peace processes shouldn't be discounted, but if it doesn’t work, armed struggle should never be taken off the table. That applies to all people.
I wrote a poem recently about Bobby Sands and the IRA struggle after researching his story and being quite touched by it, such a tragic event... I'm 3rd generation Irish American. I was brought up with a deep respect of Ireland’s woeful history by my great-grandparents. I've been to Ireland and NI to visit family. As an American, I don't have the right to say much, but the "Republic of Ireland" has sold out to the EU and forgotten the union of the 32 counties of Ireland. Peace processes shouldn't be discounted, but if it doesn’t work, armed struggle should never be taken off the table. That applies to all people.

They did however seek financial & military supplies from the Nazi Party as well as anyone that could afford to give it. The IRA agreed to help the Nazis with info that would aid a German invasion, but these plans where never fully carried out.
