The Haka as they doing it there is a victory dance originally that they would do after the 'war' as you call it. that's what I was told by them. The new one might be different.

And mate I can understand if you were scared you were only 15 years old.

I also played there in 99. Its not that bad, we still won them.

I wonder, do you know that the haka is a tradition that dates back to the early, primitive years when maori tribes would perform it to their enemies before war... it's a challenge to the other team and therefore is actually very fitting to be performed before a rugby match. What a better way to bring the best out in your opponents than to challenge them with a war dance.
