@moovees4U the guy he threw on the ground was one of the russains "customers". Basically, a guy he was selling the scarecrows drugs to. How did you not get this scene??
Can someone please explain this scene to me? Its the only one in this movie that I don't understand. What is the Russian and the scarecrow doing here?
The Dark Knight had 3 villains (though each one didn't have equal screen time), and Spiderman 3 had 3 villains. Why couldn't that movie get it right like TDK did?
The one thing I don't understand is that in the first film, Crane got hit by his own gas and then became insane. In the second one, he looks like he never lost his sanity.
The only thing he loses is his ability to fear. In the comics he's hit by tons of gas over the years and is unable to fear. That's the reason he's still in the game, batman is the only person who can make him fear, he is a villain cuz batman is a hero. He wants to meet batman as much as possible.
oh. i thought that the scarecrow sprayed that guy to keep the guy out of HIS way. basically he doesn't really care who he hurts, he just has to get away :P he wasn't helping batman, he was helping himself, but in doing so actually indirectly helped batman
To be honest when he said "Pity there is only one of you" and the bad guy disappered I literally thought it was Robin...........dang I feel like the only one who would think that...
@awesomemercenary It could be that Batman wanted the criminals alive so that they could talk. If everybody is killing each other then no information can be obtained to gain more insight into Gothams criminal organization(s).
@awesomemercenary Batman punched him to knock him out, probably because the imposters were doing more harm than good by trying to shoot/kill and in the process get themselves shot/killed. Even though batman doesn't like villains he also isn't about to start killing them (when it comes to Chistopher Nolan's vision of Batman anyway)
@biagiotti2006@awesomemercenary Batman actually always had this thing that he hated guns. Since his parents were killed by a gun he vowed not to use them. That's exactly why when the impersonators start shooting, Scarecrow goes "that's not him!". He also knocked out the guy to keep him out of harm's way.
DUDE WHY DIDNT THEY DO THIS?!!? I WOULD HAVE LOVED IT MORE THEN I ALREADY DO!!!! GO SCARECROW!!!!!!!! and when he says not my diagnosis please let that NOT be a hint for Robin! PLEASE LET IT JUST BE CRAZY TALK!!!!!
@ObiwanSparrow I haven't thought of that dialog as a hint - great thought. However, it just might be true - since the actors are all sooo secretive in terms of robin rumors. I think it might just happen - we'll see.
I didn't even realise it was Scarecrow when I first watched. Well I did but Heath Ledgers Joker completely dominated my thoughts whenever it came to this movie that I didn't even remember the Scarecrow.
In my movie, I think they should have kept scarecrow and had made the Joker and scarecrow work together to kill batman. Two face and (insert villain) could have waited till the 3rd :))
@BrickLaya100 I agree, but sort of disagree at the same time. It's not very "superhero-y" to carry around a gun, although it would be pretty cool. When you think about it, it's weird picturing batman with a gun.
I sort of wish that Batman TAS had an episode where a few of Gotham citizens started dressing up like Batman trying to fight crime. It would've been interested how it ended.
@ 1993MovieMan Bane's supernatural size and strength, however, was a staple of his character from the start. Hard to tell at this early point how (or if) it can be workable in TDKR, given Nolan's penchant for heightened realism in his Batman films.
I LOVE THIS SCENE!!!!! Not only is it such an awesome way for Batman to make his appearance in the film, but it's great to see the Scarecrow return after Batman Begins. I really like that in the Nolan films not all the villains die in the movie, with the exception of Ra's al Ghul and Two-Face. Still, It's great that Scarecrow and Joker are in Arkham, especially since it's so annoying that most comic book films have the awesome villain/villains die at the end.
@BumperJumperFilms In the first one, he was just a secondary bad guy, providing fear gas for Ra's Al Ghul. In the second...this is as much as he appeared. Yeah. They do need to make Scarecrow more "out there" in the action.
yeah, buying drugs from a guy with a burlap sack over his head is a always a good idea chechen. you should have bought it from the black dude at the street-corner
@kame789 your right, sorry it was just a white car, but it looked like a limousine to me in the first place, but can you explain how Scarecrow was in this van. 2:26.
And then be in that White car with the batman imitators. . 2:32-2:35?
@AstysFortune "There is no crane...ONLY SCARECROW!" "Dr. Crane isn't here right now...but if you'd like to make an appointment." "would you like to see my mask?" "and at the end of fear...oblivion!" concerning the rumours concerning Hugo Strange being the villain in the next film this scene would set that up beautifully since he comes to believe he is batman at some point. We may actually see oen batman trying to defeat the other, which may actually blend in with Nolan's vision. batman wants to encourage people to stand up for what they believe in but these guys just copy him and Hugo Strange is only different in that he is sociopathic. Go Tom hardy :).
@Regenmacher175 But I think Black Mask could be even better. Cause at the moment in Nolan's Batman universe the mob in Gotham has no leadership. Maroni is dead, Gambol is dead and the Krechen is dead. Black Mask is mean't to be a powerful crime lord so the situation is just set up for him to take charge.
@TheMrPwnster. Bane and Catwoman are supposed to be in Dark Knight Rises. I don't think there is going to be another villain but your right about Black Mask given The Joker obliterated all the mob leadership.
@PYR049 - great idea for hugo strange's origin! I would also like to see ras al guhl come back too for a full circle ending to the triology. ( and talia too).!
@thejonesboymb I'm going to have to disagree. Due to Nolan's realistic portrayal of the Batman universe, I doubt that Ras Al Ghul had any supernatural characteristics so he would've most likely perished in Batman Begins. In addition, I don't see how that would be a good idea for strange's origin as you mean huge strange is a psychiatrist who is tasked with curing the batman impersonator's state who becomes more obvessively over time on the identity of batman.
@PYR049 There is rumors that R'as al Ghul's League of Shadows will factor into the plot, with his daughter Talia slated to lead the organization. Also, Bane is a surprising character for Nolan to use. They'll have to downplay alot of his characteristics to fit into the more reality-oriented theme of his films. I predict that Nolan's depiction of his character will sort of resemble characters like Kraven the Hunter or Bullseye.
@1993MovieMan If Nolan's toned down depictions of Scarecrow and Joker are any indication, the venom used by Bane in the comics will probably be downplayed too in keeping with the Nolan-verse's plausible reality.
@jstephenj Um , Heath`s Joker is BASED upon The Character`s First Two Appearances in The Comics ! The CONSTANT Maniacal Laughter , Convoluted Schemes , Squirting Flowers and Joker Gas came LATER !
@1993MovieMan True, but he is probably recognized more in pop culture for his more warped, comedic-based personality, which writers played up to in later years. Heath Ledger's Joker was a more subdued, nuanced depiction of the character than performances by Cesar Romero and Mark Hamill, but it worked in the context of Nolan's vision, even if some didn't necessarily agree with the method of Ledger's depiction.
@jstephenj Yeah and The Most Important parts of The Comics Joker WERE THERE ! The Nihilism , Vicious Cunning , Egomania , TOTAL Psychosis and A Complex Love/Hate Relationship with The Dark Knight !
@flameking1000 I know lol. I was referring to the one who had been sprayed. I know they got arrested but I meant for the one who got sprayed, did he receive medical treatment or is his sanity completely broken. Weird Batman just would leave him there.
@PYR049 He is the hero Gotham doesn't deserve, the hero it won't need. He is a cowardly fool, a useless moron, a Dork Knight. I think he just went to jail for a short while, since vigilante's are illegal in Gotham.

@PYR049
