People thinking this is a copy plane are ridiculous. It is based on an old abandoned Chinese plane called the J-9, where they studied the canard type of wings. The J-9 had its first flight in 1975, just FYI.
the American Central Intel stated that they believe the Chinese has the technology to produce a FIFTH-GENERATION aircraft comparable to F-22, one with weapons stored internally, with supercruise and so on. The thing is, the Chinese have yet to find a way of producing the plane efficiently with a low cost. Therefore it will take around 7 years before the plane is into mass-production. You say they do not have the tech, but what the heck do you think the 68billion military budget is for?

There is a difference between sharing and stealing. What is the point of designing something new if you know that your neighbor is simply going to steal it and try to make money off of your hard work. Agreements could've been reached to upgrade the fighter (look at the Su-30MKI for example). The problem isnt what China did, but how they did it. you must realize, that just by adopting similar features and/or curvature as other planes, does not guarantee any success and requires thousands of hours perfecting the prototype in the wind tunnels, messing with metal alloys, developing the flight mechanics, etc....i see nothing wrong with taking what works best and trying to further the design by adding your unique innovations....GO CHINA

People thinking this is a copy plane are ridiculous. It is based on an old abandoned Chinese plane called the J-9, where they studied the canard type of wings. The J-9 had its first flight in 1975, just FYI.

the American Central Intel stated that they believe the Chinese has the technology to produce a FIFTH-GENERATION aircraft comparable to F-22, one with weapons stored internally, with supercruise and so on. The thing is, the Chinese have yet to find a way of producing the plane efficiently with a low cost. Therefore it will take around 7 years before the plane is into mass-production. You say they do not have the tech, but what the heck do you think the 68billion military budget is for?
