Hell if snow doesn't draft Tavares, there are going to be a lot of islander fans (which I won't doubt will become ex-islanders fans) that will want to skin garth snow alive. And i'm one of them. i hope he gets to play with the guys this season rather than going down to the AHL or the OHL. he was pretty amazing in last night's game against the leafs. i prayed that the leafs would pick him but unfortunatley they didnt and now look at what they have to deal with.

Yeah!! I've been a big fan of this kid since last year. I had hoped that we'd snag him at the draft, and was so psyched when we did! My friends thought it was a wasted pic...WHO'S LAUGHING NOW!!?? Filatov is just what we needed here in Columbus. Just WAIT until he gets a little more seasoning!

I honestly hope that he does not end up on the same turnout as some of Columbus' 1st rounders such as Picard, Brule, and Svitov (though I think it would be nice to see him comeback). Some people have said that CBJ have screwed up developments of some rookies like Zherdev, nevertheless, best of luck to the Blue Jackets with Filatov.

You're right, the previous manager DID screw up the developments of some of their rookies (most noticeably Brule), But the new manager is different. Put our last 2 rookie prospects in the minors for some growth and seasoning, and both look REAL promising for this season! I look for Filatov to go through the same process. I've met the kid, seems eager to play with the big boys.
