Yes, it does. A lot. It doesn't sound like The Velvet Undergound to me at all. Nor do they have that much in common with My Bloody Valentine at first listen. My Bloody Valentine owe more to Jesus and Mary Chain than to Grunge, but they are also somewhat boring, so I will give you that.

Though, really, grunge was little more than a label for a bunch of alternative/hard rock bands.

@NightmareGanon yeah, I mean I;m a fan of the early subpop records (the gits, mudhoney, and the first wave of mainstream grunge bands (by now thats all everyone knows them by) Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, pearl Jam, SoundGarden but thats about it. I mean maybe the ambient techno sounds are similiar to some of the later Smashing Pumpkins tracks but yeah. it was a label for the popularization of alternative rock.
