@princessthedog01 That's because the eyebrows and the mouth are two separate pieces that they put on the puppet's head to do its facial animation. The line gets edited out later with a computer. If you look even CLOSER, you can see that the bottom half juts out a bit more than the top half.

yeah, i think its something like rotoscoping, where they digitally alter the images.

I think they do the same thing to remove the poles which hold the models up (like when they lean forward) so they don't fall over.

After seeing the movie, it seems to me that the cat is more of a guide, Spink and Forcible are just the neighbour characters, like Bobinsky, while Wybie is more of a person that Coraline talks to about what's happening to her, and he eventually helps her. He's basically someone that Coraline can play off of.

Go see the movie and I'm sure you'll see what he's for.
