Diamonds are actually in massive supply and you can pick up excellent quality uncut diamonds (although it is guarded) off a beach in South Africa. But there is only one diamond company in Antwerp that controls the diamond supply to the world, hence controlling prices by driving up demand with marketing.Oil is becoming the same as diamonds.

i dont think peak oil is a fixed point, oil sands is a huge resource probably not being used at $70 a barrel, new technologies for transportation of gas etc. However these methods have an additional cost, could it be a self reguating relationship which as price goes up rament ecconomic growth stops, huge negative conequencies followed by a return to normality at a higher premium as costs for difficult to extract oil ncrease to the point that oil alternatives begins to become econoically viable.

The substance of his critique of the Bilderbergers is that they are about the business of destroying nation states - eliminating any group strategy that can stand up to their own. He cites the consolidation of Europe, the stripping of Greece and the Subjugation of the Spanish Constitution to the European Constitution as specific examples. 2 things:
1. I don't believe in this peak-oil nonsense. Some previously capped oilwells have mysteriously started to fill again. In other words, it's not really "fossil fuel", or, at least not exclusively--we've been lied to about that as well. Shocking.
2. Regarding the question of "optimum" population size according these One-World-Order types, apparently, 500 million is the magic number. Google "Georgia Guidestones". It's a list of the elitist's 10 commandments. Pretty sad.

@jstwndring Peak oil is an excuse to drive the price of oil up. There is plenty of available oil in the world still. It's the same as how it is with diamonds. Diamonds are actually in massive supply and you can pick up excellent quality uncut diamonds (although it is guarded) off a beach in South Africa. But there is only one diamond company in Antwerp that controls the diamond supply to the world, hence controlling prices by driving up demand with marketing.Oil is becoming the same as diamonds.

i dont think peak oil is a fixed point, oil sands is a huge resource probably not being used at $70 a barrel, new technologies for transportation of gas etc. However these methods have an additional cost, could it be a self reguating relationship which as price goes up rament ecconomic growth stops, huge negative conequencies followed by a return to normality at a higher premium as costs for difficult to extract oil ncrease to the point that oil alternatives begins to become econoically viable.
