@himynameisbrendo actually the kill switch is more of a safety switch (F.Eg. I you fall and the throtle gets stuck), so, no need to use it in any particular order. Key, then switch is perfectly good...

A FREE mod that will make your bike look 1,000,000 times better... Unscrew the reflectors off the front tire... It may sound small but made my K7 Gsxr 600 look WAY better.

before i bash you for saying that the air intake in the front is "for cooling down the engine and stuff" (probably not exact quote) i would like to say that is a sweet bike! i am currently looking at the 07 myself which is practically the same but is a bit cheaper now. back to the intake....its a ram air intake, similar to a supercharger or turbo in that it compresses the air for a more unrestricted airflow; however it is not mechanically or exhaust fed. but yes super nice bike!
That is one absolutely stunning bike dude. I'm currently looking for an 07/08 ZX6R myself as I'm not a fan of the change in appearance for 2009. Kawasaki should have left it alone and just did some minor tweaks, the 08 design is close to perfection.

you know everyone has there opinions. I personally love the 09 zx6r. I have one, i had the option of the 08 or the 09 and i went with the new one. I thought it looked better overall. the only downfall that i had with the 09 was the muffler was on the side and not under the tail. Nice! I wanted the 07 in black but when I was finally ready to buy.I wanted one before they changed the look. I ended up with the exact same bike and color! Like you I ride every chance! I did the ECU MOD and can tell a difference when you push it, This bike smiles when you stay around 10000 rpms.

High octane fuel doesn't have more power, doesn't last longer and doesn't have anything to do with sludge. All it does is resist pre-ignition which is important for high compression engines. Computer controlled engines will retard timing and/or richen the air/fuel mixture to prevent pre-ignition if you use low octane fuel and you end up with less power and lower fuel economy for that reason, not just because of the fuel. By the way, nice bike, I plan on getting one soon, year end sales. ;)

Yeah that is pretty much how I was when browsing the bikes. I was originally sold on the R6 for a while, but that easily got relegated to my second choice when I saw this baby. No regrets, either. More centrally-massed, being 6'2"; 175-180 it's a more comfortable seating position, huge fuel tank, and has the reputation for being a menace on the streets. =D. Hope you get yours soon - the red is a bitchin' color as well!

No fuel gauge. That would be a nice perk, however it does have a yellow "low fuel" indicator light that turns on, and a message that will pop up on the digital display: "FUEL," when it needs some more juice.
Na, not at all. You ask me I think it's just right. Kawi recommends 90+ as a bare minimum! In the few months I've had it, 94/95 is all that has been in it. The bike loves and seems to ride at it's best with it compared to any other fuel I've tried so far and there have been no probs.
Now, too-rich-to-leave-sit fuel would be race gas which is like 100+. Not to say you can't use that either, but I'd save that high fuel for track days, especially considering how expensive it is.
I've heard arguments for both yes and no. Couldn't tell you for sure, but I wouldn't imagine that fuel starts making a difference in horsepower unless you're using race gas - a difference that is at best minimal. Maybe with that 100+ stuff you may see a slight boost, but even then I'm not sure.
Well it's not like I have anything to really gauge that either. I mean it's brand new, always feels like it rides exceptionally. 94/95 is all i've put in it, so there hasn't been much experimentation with many other fuels as far as their ratings go - just companies.
As far as I know, until you start getting in to race gas - the higher you go the less you have to worry about engine sludge building up. Not to mention the fuel lasts longer.
How much was ur bike? I saw some zx6r 2007 on ebay that go for something like 6.955 but i would also have to pay shipping, Did u buy some sort of an extended warrenty for ur bike? how much was it if u did buy it?

Well it's not like I have anything to really gauge that either. I mean it's brand new, always feels like it rides exceptionally. 94/95 is all i've put in it, so there hasn't been much experimentation with many other fuels as far as their ratings go - just companies.
As far as I know, until you start getting in to race gas - the higher you go the less you have to worry about engine sludge building up. Not to mention the fuel lasts longer.

How much was ur bike? I saw some zx6r 2007 on ebay that go for something like 6.955 but i would also have to pay shipping, Did u buy some sort of an extended warrenty for ur bike? how much was it if u did buy it?

Ah I see. SO using higher octain would be the better option? even though it costs more it still lasts longer then the lower octain?

Higher octain will burn correctly unlike a lower octain which might cause engine knocking and/or late backfires.
